The explosion , as you can see by the above photo, has not stopped Sonae from endangering the local Community. Even though the Chimneys smokeless and the factory mostly idle, it seems that they have chosen to stockpile all the wood dust which, like other timber products, comes in by the Lorry Load. With good weather drying the mountain the wind this dust blows everywhere and it is a danger to the local community.

Sonae Silence speaks Volumes

So far there has been a wall of silence from Knowsley Council who are terrified that Sonae may move. The Council think more of the revenue they get off this factory than our health. Sonae will poison who-ever they can get away with poisoning.The massive mountain of wood dust pictured here is yet another danger as it blows around Kirkby lining our lungs with dust and chemicals.

COUNCIL RESPONSE A JOKE

Our Council have no intention of putting the people of Kirkby first on this matter. They announced that they would be getting Liverpool University to send out 500 health questioners. More money wasted,more experts making a few quid trying to make some sort of intellectual game out of our lives. We don't need this survey because we already had one done, a much more comprehensive survey where the questions were not weighted. You can see this Survey here. Councillors Clueless?

One of the local councillors was heard to say on local radio "but what can you do?" in reference to the Sonae problem. The call for direct action will of course not be met with too much enthusiasm by the local New Labour careerists and wannabe's, but Kirkby Times will say that it has to be said. The law is endangering us on this one, so to hell with it. Its a pity the youth were not inclined to take this into their own hands.An army of La Coste track suited scallys would shut it down in a few weeks if they targeted it. Its about time we woke up to the benefits of direct action.Petitions, surveys and intellectual debates will simply waste out energies. We should declare a day of action and close it down with a picket. Sonae play it dirty, Knowsley Council are notorious for their dirty politics,So far Kirkby has taken this lying down. All we got is a few hundred people hoping to sue em, you'll all be fleeced by the greedy lawyers who are only in it for the money. Some people may have been approached by local Law Firm touts,it would be dangerous to sit back and let the lawyers take over. The Law is an Ass, don't rely on it too much.
