This is to every person who lives in Kirkby from a Kirkby man
who has lived here all his life, all 44 years of it.
(just a whipper snapper some might say).
Hard knocks come and go
I have seen all manor of thing and heard some story's seen the so
called hard knocks come and go ,but through all of it the decent Kirkby
people have always won through even when we get slagged off by outsiders
remember( RAY GOSLING T.V REPORTER )He just went to the bad parts and
made us look like pigs. So like many of you reading this I love Kirkby
and always will.BUT!...........
Selling Off Kirkby
Today I see a different Kirkby I see the people sitting around and crying
but do nothing, they do nothing as the school that taught them their children
and their grandchildren get sold so the land can be used for houses, their
police station shut down, their court house closed and moved to HUYTON - all
control of Kirkby moved to HUYTON.To look at the plan you would think we
were being remoulded into something else, and the people sit and cry about it all.BUT!........
We got ourselves a brand new factory
Not everything has been taken away from Kirkby we got ourselves
a brand new factory which the Council, so it as been said, gave the company
£60 million of our money to bring them to our town.
They would have to make some savings from the budget from some
where!! I KNOW LETS MOVE THE POLICE STATION COURT HOUSE TO HUYTON AND
SELL ALL THE LAND WE CAN! Great idea.
As you read this, take a look around and you might see your
loved ones around - your mother, father, son, daughter or grandchildren.
Look in their eyes and ask yourself what would you do if a terrorist came
to Kirkby and released a slow working poison but you knew the council
could stop them. Would you sit around and cry "someone should do something"
or would you be banging on the doors of the council chambers and SHOUT STOP THEM!
BUT I am only one person, what can I do? I hear you sit and cry.
YOU ARE ONE OF THOUSANDS!
YOU ARE ONE OF THOUSANDS, go to the meetings that are held by the K.A.T.S .
Kirkby against Toxic Sonae. Pester the life out of your councillor and make him/her
regret the day they said 'YES PUT THE SONAE IN KIRKBY'. Complain to the chief
environmental officer MR NEIL TURNER. Write to your M.P. GEORGE HOWARTH,

what he's there for. Make him come to Kirkby and breathe the dust.

The people of Kirkby are once again being tested by the council to see
if we stand up for our selves or just sit and cry I say we must all............
