Mr Howarth,
Once again I find myself writing to you for a progress report on your attempt
to get the Sonae closed as you have failed so far to reply to my last request, so
too has Neil Turner.
Have you and Neil decided to close your eyes and ears again and hope everything
will go away again, you know that don't work, now don't you?
In the meeting with yourself and Neil turner, John Baxter, and others
- your last statement to us was that you would go back to London and gain support
for the change in the process that would allow Neil Turner to close Sonae. To
date there has been no progress, no assistance, no pressure from anyone in power
against the Sonae.
The last person to do that act was 'DICK WHITTINGTON' - you know the play,
he goes to London to change things but got too big for his boots. But remember Mr
Howarth, this is no panto that we your constituents are living in, this is real
life and death that we face each and every day that we continue to live under
the shadow of the toxic plant. You were elected by the people of this town to
represent us, not Sonae, not Knowsley Council, not George Howarth, but US,
the Kirkby people. This is your job and I for one would like to see some
results coming from your side.
I am one voice with many ears and thousand of eyes all trained on you
and the so called council. You and the council will be judged by your results
or lack of them.
It's a funny thing politics I see that Arnold Schwarzenegger is now
running for office in the U.S.A. His famous saying was "I'LL BE BACK" when
he played the terminator in the film of the same name. Be assured of one thing
Mr Howarth, if you fail the people of Kirkby we will be saying
"YOUR NOT COMING BACK"
because you will be terminated as our M.P.
YOURS STILL WAITING
Joe
