A tale of Two Car Crashes with exclusive photo's!
Another Day in Kirkby.........................
The Above Photo was taken minutes after the occupants of this
car fled the scene.
This happened at about 1.00pm in the afternoon, and the actual number of stolen cars has shot up
recently despite the Hundreds of Thousands of pounds spent on speed bumps
in roads just like this one.Almost every road in Northwood, Kirkby(where the photo was taken) has speed bumps on it, but so far it has had little impact on
the problem of stolen cars
There
are a lot of stolen cars which seem to end up in Kirkby as part of the almost daily and nightly ritual of screeching through
the streets being chased by the Police. This is not a new problem, it's been going on since the 70's
and the only difference now is that theres more it of it happening and the cars being driven are
a lot more powerful and capable of out-running the police cars. The Cars stolen are often from local Working Class people who struggle
hard to afford an half decent car and the expensive rip off insurance we have here.
Phoning the CopsOn Friday 24 th May, the writer of this
article witnessed a car smash, a pretty nasty one where a car had come off a main road(Roughwood Drive)
and smashed down an outside wall of a House nearby, where elderly people live. It was only luck no-one was
seriously injured as the car mounted the pavement before it went crashing with some considerable
force into the wall. This happened around 7.00pm in the evening, and I phoned 999 as where I was
situated I could see the events clearly and could see where the occupants of the car had chosen
to make good their escape on foot.Kirkby Times has stated on record that a child or someone innocent will be killed by
stolen or speeding cars.
Girl Racers! The occupants of this particular car where
in fact two girls aged as young as 15. They had to take off their high heeled shoes to make good the
escape. I was still on the phone trying to tell the cops what was happening, I got through to some
anonymous phone op in a call center who knew nothing about the locality of Kirkby. As I tried to
describe the escape, I was asked for the postcode of the area I was in and the phone operator
was as clueless of the streets of Kirkby as i would be of a Town i knew nothing about. All in all phoning the
cops was just a waste of time. I watched for a few minutes more as the two girls made their
escape, not a cop car in sight, no sirens, nothing. About 10 minutes later the two girls could
be seen again, its possible they were drunk, certainly the manner of their driving was dangerous
in the extreme and there escape was hardly a sprint.Maybe they thought they were striking a blow for sexual equality by forming a
girls branch of the notorious 'Kirkby Car Robbers'
Police Crawl to incidentAbout 20-30 minutes later the cops
showed up. Just two of them in a normal patrol car. Someone who told them he was a witness was ignored,
the cops didn't seem too interested. The witness walked away, I don't blame him, it looked like this
was just a routine call for the Police, never mind someone could have been killed. There's a divide
between working class communities and the Police who supposedly 'serve' them. It just doesn't feel
like there serving us atall sometimes. It seems the Police are often just the Governments Boot Boys, we only
got to look at a strike to see the Police making a BIG effort.
More Crashes! The Second incident on Saturday 25th May
witnessed by the author of this article came less than 24 hrs later when, inside a house, I heard an
almighty crash coming from outside. The place where I was situated I was looking out into the back
gardens and saw a bloke, or youngish lad, jumping over the fences.
Lamp post down I went out to the front and saw that the
car had actually crashed into a lamp-post, knocking it down into a front garden of a nearby house. T
he road it happened in is a road where there are a lot of children playing in the street, the drivers
of this vehicle were again lucky not to have killed anyone. A child or anyone walking in this road
would have been killed or seriously injured by the idiot who drove this car and many others like him.

Smile for the cameraLuckily I had use of a camera to take a series
of shots of the incident, from moments after the car crashed, to the arrest of someone who may or may not
have been involved in the incident. You can look at them below by clicking on the link below.
