On Wed 10th Oct, just after Midnight, a flat in Oak Tower on the 11th floor was set on fire. The damage is clearly seen in the opposite photograph. The tenants of the flats have been living in conditions which are appalling, yet the Housing Trust refuses to act.

The flat which was set ablaze was being used by various kids and was effectively being squatted, as other flats have, for weeks previous to the fire. Young kids have been spotted bunking from school in the towers but the only time the Housing Trust acts is when its too late. This fire was inevitable given the number of kids using the block as a community centre. Its not the first fire, and it has to be said that the Fire Brigade here are sick of being called out to simply put out fires at the back of the flats on ground abandoned by the Housing Trust formerly used for garages until the kids pulled them down.

Council and Housing Trust abandon Repairs program. Tenants Left Uninformed.

Since Knowsley Housing Trust took over the Housing stock in Knowsley, there has been much rhetoric but little proof of the change in attitude and service we were all promised. The Housing Trust Officers have been busy in Oak Towers and all the other Towers arranging individual deals with tenants. What we need is for the tenants to be told collectively just what the hell is going on. We all know the flats are coming down at some point. In Oak Towers they are coming down bit by bit as vandal's and arsonist's simply walk in the Flats at will and do what the hell they want. No live in Caretaker for 2 years or more. No security patrols although the tenants are paying £3.50 per week. Knowsley Housing Trust should ALL be made to occupy the flats. We'd see a turn around then. They'd be condemned in a week.

Burglars, Junkies, Drunks Vandals and Arsonists

The past Week or so has seen incidents ranging from aggravated burglary on a tenant,someone collapsing outside the Block and the usual Junkies. The following photo below is of blood covering the walls of Oak Tower. After explaining that there were a number of spots where blood is splattered on the walls to a freind it was pointed out this may well be junkies using needles. There is already evidence of Heroin Addicts smoking heroin through silver foil, but the sight of blood on the walls and the possibility there may be needles lying around.

Knowsley Housing Trust Must face Public meeting.

I have e-mailed the Housing Officer for the Northwood Area: Anne Mc Nulty to ask that tenants be informed as to the plans for our homes and our future. The last public meeting involving the tenants was 4 years ago. There was NO follow up, instead the council, now the Housing Trust, seem to fear dealing with the tenants as one body. As explained before, deals are being made, and a lot of tenants have been promised Quarry green Heights, which, it now transpires may also be coming down. Its about time the Housing Trust came clean and answered some of the tenants questions. the best way to do this is to call a public meeting for the tenants of Oak, Cedar, Larch and Maple Towers. We are sick of being the last to hear what's happening. Look below at the prison which one poor old pensioner lived in. She left 2 years ago due to vandalism, Knowsley Council deserve to be dragged to a prison cell for letting our old folk live in these conditions. Look below and tell me i'm wrong............

They won't Listen!

I e-mailed the management of Knowsley Housing Trust several times on very important matters. the only reply i have had relates to the Tower Blocks i have detailed above. In a reply from an Alan Disley,(thanks for replying at least) the following was said relating to the future of the Tower Blocks...... "I can confirm that we are considering the future of the multi storey block in which you live. I am sorry to hear of the recent problems you have experienced in relation to anti social behavior and security. "

What recent problems is this bloke referring to?, the problems Long Term Mr Disley, as well you know. look here for a brief history of these problems.
