Kirkby Times can report that the recent opening of the new Job Center led to payments being sent out early to avoid any Claimants causing scenes whilst the Parliamentary secretary for the department for work and pensions was about. Kirkby Times can also reveal that the Job Center resembled a building site prior to the visit as contactors ran around like madmen putting the finishing touches to the interior decoration. Thousands have been spent glossing up the place with all manner of useless props. It looks like who-ever designed the place was on LSD and blindfolded.

Below, a giro-cheque for £107, sent out early to ensure claimants would not be visiting the Job Center. This is unprecedented to be sent out a giro-cheque without signing on to declare you are indeed looking for work. The reason this was done was to prevent any claimant complaining in the presence of the so called 'V.I.P's'. This is a classic case of New Labour ministers and political high ups living in a fantasy world of freshly painted walls and smoked salmon buffets.

New Labour are obsessed with image and this is clear when you view the Job Center now its been redesigned. There are some useful features, but the place now resembles some mad Hotel Foyer, and people are now employed to simply point out the various sections to people arriving.

Pressure is being stepped up under the guise of the 'New Deal', you may remember the adverts on the TV of some manic businessman on a train telling complete strangers how great this 'New deal' was. The blokes enthusiasm was such that he was arrested for assault shortly after his period of 'fame' and is now another one of the new Laborites exposed as dodgy beneath the image of enthusiastic Blairite.
