General Scales and Chairman Marx Dowd have no where to go now that Darling, Minister
of State for Transport, accepted our argument that the ill advised Tram Project to Kirkby
which was to be 15 minutes slower to the Liverpool City Centre was a complete waste of Public
Money. More to the point 500 Kirkby Jobs will be saved and the local Bus Company can now consult
with local Objective One Groups to seek the investment needed to link in Kirkby a first class
transport system. We will give a platform for an open debate in the Kirkby Times to the Managing
Director Mr Brady of Glenvale Bus Co. to give his objections to Merseytravels Plans and his
strategy for an integrated transport system for our under provided elderly and isolated mothers
with children who desperately need to get to the main shops where competition gives lower prices.
Come on Mr Brady you have been given a second chance you were once involved in the Community do
so again, be creative and link in with those of us who really care.
£25 Million
Back to the Chairman Marx and Director Scales who have spent over £25M of our Local
Taxes to date on Consultants and Propaganda on the Tram Project only to have seen the Minister
state as we have that the money can be better on other significant other local and national
projects.
Overpaid consultants
Will Marx now sack the overpaid consultants of some years standing immediately!
If not, why not? There is no money to be made available from the Government for any Tram
System in Leeds, Manchester in fact anywhere! If he refuses will he be made personally
accountable for the costs incurred knowing that this Ministerial Decision is made? Kirkby
Times are now on your tails Gentlemen we will ensure that you will be exposed for wilfully
incurring costs and abusing our hard earned money. Why not write to the District Auditor
as an individual taxpayer? Why not get your local Councillor to do some work and challenge
these two? If the Councillors refuse, let us know their names, and we will see who is who
in this minefield of free spending.
