Fearing electoral burnout at the next general election, new labour bosses in
the North West wheeled out some of Blair's Moonies, and council local hacks to put
the boot in on the Liverpool Lib- Dems.
In a press conference in Liverpool on the 8th October2004, the comedy unfolded
when the line up appeared. In the Chair was the ultra Blairite Jane Kennedy, who after
voting to illegally invade Iraq , and impose student top up fees, is now preparing to
clamp down on workers claiming incapacity benefit.
Many people in Kirkby claim this after working decades in often filthy
and arduous working conditions, something totally alien to the Jane Kennedy's
of this world. Just what has this former care worker ever done for the working class ?
Using her feminine charms on the labour luvvies no doubt.
Then we have George ( I've vacated Kirkby) Howarth. Just what has
Liverpool City Council got to do with him? His gripe is "Liverpool failing to deliver" as stated by a
Daily Post headline.
Well take the blinkers off George and visit Northwood and tell the people
what new labour has delivered from the £35 million single regeneration budget.
We can answer this one, sod all !
Then look to Sonae, what your Huyton chums delivered on the people of Kirkby.
A Toxic factory emitting foul odours to men women and children, causing untold health
problems and misery for the community of Kirkby. Is Howarth for or against it ? Answers
please cos we don't know.
What Mr Howarth and new labour did deliver, by illegally declaring war on Iraq,
was the needless killings of British Service men and women, and innocent Iraqis. Its
certain Ken Bigley would be alive today if new labour MPs had had the guts to oppose
their war monger leader Bliar.
Therefore a rest from Mr Howarth's breathtaking hypocrisy is long overdue.
Also mouthing off was the new labour leader of Liverpool, someone called Joe Anderson.
He claimed the council is being run by
"unaccountable civil servants" instead of
councillors.
We don't know where he has been, but it is well known in Kirkby that the person
he is referring to, Sir David Henshaw used to run Knowsley Council. We are told
he would often attend private labour group meetings to push through any contentious
policy. Dissenters were severely dealt with by new labour bosses who fully supported
Henshaw laying down the law to the councillors.
It is said Keight and his followers used touched their forelocks when Henshaw
entered their meetings.
Sources also tell us that one Councillor used to challenge Henshaw and his
project. He is now history.
Perhaps Round and Howarth suffered from amnesia when Mr Anderson opened
up, they have been subordinate to Henshaw for years and know his links with the
new labour high command. He didn't get a knighthood of them for nothing.
Sources in the city inform us that Anderson wandered into the
council in 1998, having previously been a pub licensee in the city centre.
A well paid social services post in Sefton Council quickly followed. Just
how did he pull that one off ! Read on.
Our old friend Mark Dowd was also at the gathering. He is Chair of Merseytravel,
on £65grand a year expenses. Kicked out by his local party, he stepped into a seat when
an old councillor died in Sefton just before the elections. His bacon was saved and with
it the £65 grand a year expenses.
It is likely he keeps a protective eye on comrade Anderson when he's in
Sefton. Good new labour stuff.
Finally, Knowsleys Ron Round , who we are told is hostile to Liverpool. He fears
a takeover by them would remove the Huyton empire. He and new labour also know that
the day of reckoning is not far away for him and Keight and the corrupt land deals
that have robbed one of the poorest councils of multi millions of pounds.
