You cried out do not forsake me.
We are now gathered at the place where you are and in our midst your Family.
We are gathered at the place where you are: we are beyond the words of Diplomacy, Denunciations, of Demands and Deception.
We the citizens of your Birth Place hear your plea and are gathered as one. The politically concerned cannot hear the way we hear.We have had in this City previous platitudes from the man of Straw as to why we did not receive justice and know too well his words of compassion, they are meaningless, in this your and our hours of wait.
We have journeyed with you, white of hair, bound and blinded and placed in a symbolic, orange suit.
You called out to us for help. We are now all gathered; the young the families and those of us who have lived through wars of previous times.
We in this City have lost sons and daughters, family and friends in causes similar and equally filled with hate.
2000 years ago a Mother, her sisters and family and others gathered at another place not far from where you are. They waited for a sacrifice of the Mothers son we wait today where you are.
To you who are hooded, if you seek that we pray for mercy, fear not for we are praying. If you want us to plead then we are pleading. If you want money then ask, tell us how much and we his fellow citizens will understand.
If you want us to understand , then understand us too, we are a City with a history of lives lost in times of war: in times of peace, injustice, and an ancient history of deprivation. The bitter taste of injustice remains, that is why our son cried out to us, he knows of our inner strength.
We wait, gathered as one in the place where you are.We ask those who seek a sacrifice to gain the Worlds attention, how much more attention will get if you resist this sacrifice and return to us our son our fellow citizen. Return a mothers' son, to a wife, her husband, and to a son his father. Do this and the world will recognise an act of humanity."
The recent hooded images sent out off recent sacrifices have burned deep in our souls. Change these images to compassion and your voice too, will be recognised as different, as one of compassion.
We who are gathered at this silent place in prayer, in tears of despair, ask only this of you, look and see that The Religions in our City, Islam, Christians and Others pray as one. Join us in our prayers. We ask that you find us worthy to venerate the same Holy Sign We ask to watch over our families yours and ours, to keep us free from injustice and harm and help us to be true to what we promise today.
We speak as one in our City.
We ask that you join us, do not turn us away.
Give us back our son.
