KYRIE, ELEISON

Awoman stands before the sea - surrounded by grave stones and a single bunch of flowers

Maldives, Sri Lanka, India, Indonesia Thailand Malaysia

The Thousand-Kilometre Wave Crashed Down.
From the deep the earth collides
The schism clashes the crust erupts
Volcanic blasts explodes enraging the seas
The unleashed might raises high the waves
Greater than the greatest threat before
The boiling turbulence mountains destruction
And roars defiance at the puny man

The unsuspecting once arrogant ATOMIC man
IS CRUSHED AND DROWNED AS NEVER BELIEVED
Gods weapon of mass engulfence all abounds

Those who fish in boats so small
Know too well the greatest power of all
The storms the crashing waves the howling winds
Were warned before well in advance of portends
None this time the unannounced first stuck
Those at sea engulfed then swamped and left behind
This wall greater than the human kind raged on
The unsuspecting tourist bathed and wallowed
A gigantic roaring wave soon swallowed
The human frail now flotsam and jetsam

The Thousand Kilometre wave crashed down

The beaches strewn with drowned and dying
Saw the fragile structures render homeless
Hotels of holiday happiness flooded tears and death
One third of all who died on beaches were jetted from afar
The distant family alone and unaware
Celebrated ate and drank the sumptuous fayre
But all too soon the Tsunamis FROZE their very soul

The thousand Miles turn thousands dead
From trees and roofs from everywhere the bodies hang

Children torn from parent's hands
Families wrenched from life to death
The vast numbers the toll too high to count

Beyond the beach the shore the bodies strewn mount high
The hinterland now drowned no songs of birds
No lowing now a silence invites to honour
Each country counts the cost of devastation
And calls for help assistance no protestation
There is no political gain the agencies cry
Galvanise the Donors Organise the chain
Of planes of ships of wagons filled with aid

And maim those cruel Aid marauders

In all of this remember well this message from the deep
This is but one dimension the rest to follow
This plant earths' bionosphere will take so much
And at your peril you will observe that this is but a warning

Nor Bush nor Blair No Terrorists bomb can match the awe
The Earths Weapon of Mass destruction will bring to all
