Dear Kirkby Times
Thank you for your interest in our plight to save our community. We held a meeting with members
of KHT, our local councillors, members of Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council plus our
own community. As of yet ,they have informed us that all plans for demolition, are to be
set aside, and some consultation is to be done on behalf of the tenants with the community members.
Intimidation
They have also informed us that they are going to look into the allegations
made by some tenants that there has been some intimidation going on! This was
denied by Jane Aston we where able to produce a singed copy of a statement
which soon shut her up. Could any one tell us how plans with this great
impact can be set aside? When two weeks ago things where all done and dusted.
Void properties being sold off?
Yet, void properties are being done up by private contractors, plus these contractors can tell us that every house in the Crofts area is on their plans to be refurbished even the ones that KHT are telling us are to be demolished, is some one lining their pockets ? As it has already been mentioned that the main CONtractor & Director of re-gen share the same name BULLOCKS, to me this seems a load of balls!!! If any one would like to comment or give information please do so.

Jane Aston is on the Board of KHT - so far this has been a voluntary position
but there are plans afoot to pay the board members 20K a year! Jane's voluntary work
may well be the usual Kirkby inroad to a job she see's coming. She gets almost £8,000
per year as a Councillor - plus her extra duties chairing the rare Northwood Area Forum
(when is the next one by the way? - they seem to have stopped) Jane also sat on the
dodgy SRB committee for Northwood - despite her Ward not being in Northwood. She was
also one of the Councillors who helped the sale of St Kev's go through. A real Kirkby
Girl on the make - maybe she thinks she can make an MP one day? Jane will stick up
for Knowsley Council and KHT and the people of Kirkby , if they have any sense -
will make sure she is dumped next May in the local elections.

A load of Bullocks?
As for the Bullocks Contractors - we can't resist saying that Knowsley
council talk a load of Bullocks! - and there may or may not be any connection
between the Director of Regeneration and the Director of Bullocks contractors
- but if there was, it would be pretty stupid and the Police would surely see
the co-incidence and investigate - wouldn't they? Er, Sadly - given past events
with Councils and corruption - the odds are that Kirkby Times could run the story
for months before anything happened -The Echo didn't even spot the blatant
corruption of the 70's in Kirkby - until a local independent newspaper ran
the story. The Police didn't investigate until it was handed to them on
a plate! - One things for sure - there will be some contracts being
given out in underhand manners - plus grants from SRB or Euro and
related funding. No doubt we have seen mismanagement - but the
temptation to do deals with contractors is too tempting. Who is
watching? We have seen hundreds of millions of pounds allocated
to Kirkby and how much has ever been accounted for?
