More stolen cars were out and about tonight - one ended up burnt in Roughwood Woods, Kirkby's Fire Fighters called out yet again to put out the blaze. A few trees were damaged and it's doubtful those responsible were caught. This happened at approx 8.30 pm, the Police turned up as the Fire Fighters were damping down the last flames. The car itself was towed away at 9.30 pm by a recovery vehicle, other occasions have seen burnt out cars left for days, possibly weeks. The cost of this one stolen car being burnt will add up to thousands.

As the Firemen drove off, another stolen car appeared, and then raced off up residential streets at a high speed, taking corners so fast that stopping for anyone would be impossible. These people seem to not want to think about the consequences of their actions. The firemen themselves, recently shafted by the Government, had a busy night as they had to race up to Southdene shortly after getting back to the station - the kids had set abandoned flats alight, again!. Then at 10.00pm the Firemen were off in force up to the Tower Hill area. Last but not least, a young lad on a small motor-bike raced up Westhead Avenue, on the pavement at about 10.15pm.

If Parliaments ever on fire, lets hope the Firemen leave it to burn.
