Car robbers were
busy again yesterday and stole a bus from the grounds of the Knowsley Suites hotel in
Prescot. The bus was stolen by two teenagers who drove away eventually stopping at the
corner of Bewley Drive Southdene where about 10 or 12 of their mates jumped in and
joined in the joyride. Unbelievably the Hotel car park where the bus was stolen won
the British Parking Association's Secure Car Park Award last year. The Hotel is
covered by CCTV but as can be seen on this website, CCTV makes little impact on
thefts here. Northwood has maybe seen more stolen cars since the CCTV was erected
there.
A Southdene resident, who does not wish to be named (for obvious reasons), called police
after the bus nearly crashed into her and the police helicopter arrived to join the search
for the robbers. The bus crashed into her on the East Lancs road which is practically a
racing track for the stolen cars here. As can be seen on this website - many of the scum
here would be prepared to plough into YOU OR YOUR CHILD and simply drive off. They have to
be stopped, and it's about time the community woke up to the fact that it OUR RESPONSIBILITY.
The bus was found abandoned with windows smashed and extensive damage inside along
with empty beer cans - it seems the youths used the bus as a mobile pub before they smashed
it up. Sadly many younger impressionable kids here will see the driver as and the thieves as
heroes - they will want to imitate this appalling anti social behaviour. We have a generation
of rebels with no cause, the Government will be quite happy to sit back and let the gangs rule
Kirkby, and as long as these people simply destroy the community, they represent no real danger.
These kids need to understand that they have a responsibility to the community. We are
not there enemies.

Kirkby Times recently photographed a stolen minibus (Pictured Above) owned by prestige travel
- the small bus was burned out at the back of local Tower Blocks. No reply was
received after informing them of the whereabouts of the vehicle.( a thank-you
would have been be nice - I emailed them a photo of the bus) As stated before
on Kirkby Times, the CCTV is failing, handing out a few hundred digital cameras
would sort the problem out better than some sleepy guard struggling to watch a
dozen screens in the control centre.
Note: As this article is being finished, there's a car chase going
on, looks like more than a couple of stolen cars are busy -
the Police sirens can be heard going off in the distance. The
time is almost 1.00am in the morning. Its odds on the Police
helicopter will be waking up anyone who is unfortunate enough
not to have double glazing.
