Thieves targeted
St Marie's School (formerly Sacred Heart) on Saturday June 29th, from
witness reports it seems the thieves may have been young kids, this
wouldn't be surprising. 3 Police cars attended the incident plus a number of
Council workers who made good whatever repairs were needed, the Police
helicopter was also called out. The helicopter was also out the next morning
at approx 8.00am flying over the same area.
Below, the Police enter the school to search for intruders, and the photo below shows Police waiting at the front of the school
where a crowd had gathered to watch the events.
Credit Union Robbed (again)
Despite the school being fenced off and also a CCTV situated nearby, it
seems the school and the Unemployed Centre next to it, are targeted
frequently. Only recently, the Credit union in the Unemployed centre
was burgled again, this is despite over One Million being spent on refurbishing
the centre AND a CCTV situated on the grounds. The credit union seems to be easily
broken into and a review of security is needed there. The people robbing it are
local. Kirkby Times can also report that CCTV footage of someone robbing a car
from the premises in broad daylight was actually not picked up by the Police
for a number of days.
The Government robs us and we rob each other. This is no way to live - no-one
in Kirkby can leave a door open these days - even our pensioners have become easy prey
for the parasitic lowlife - generally heroin addicts. The only answer is for the
Community itself to unite and fight for a future for these kids who are currently
committing crime in the community. We cannot just ask the kids to stop without
offering them an alternative. If the adults here can sit back and let community
centers be closed and school fields sold off - if we can just allow Sonae to
march in and allow the millions meant to fight poverty in Northwood be wasted
- what can we expect? Kids take the lead off us - if we don't give a sh** for
the community - and many seem not to - then the kids will follow suit.
