Knowsley Council lied through their teeth over the real motives to destroy
the Sports Centre and Swimming Pool. This is just another stage in the asset stripping
of Kirkby. These national and regionally renowned facilities have been deliberately
allowed to fall into disrepair so the buildings can be destroyed, and the land can
be included in Knowsley Councils Car boot sale of Kirkby.
Older Kirkby Councillors like King and Fisher saw though this, but of
course the Gauleiter of Knowsley, Kaiser Keight, instead of respecting their
experience, turned his private army against them.
They would remember Kirkby's own Council in the 60s and 70s putting
in the facilities that Knowsley have dismantled. Remember when we had quality
shops in the Townie,- the Kirkby Reporter which today would expose the treacherous
crew who sell out the people of Kirkby
The Magistrates Courts have gone taking with them dozens of jobs and
helped to close local solicitors
Kirkby Library, once a major presence is now the poor relation, and whose
frontage presents an eyesore. The much renowned Kirkby Boys football team have
been confined to history in the remorseless drive to destroy any thing that brings
prestige and recognition to Kirkby
To expose the depths of lies and dishonesty that Knowsley will sink to in misleading
people, lets recall their action in 1998 when Keight ordered that the St Kevin's planning
inquiry be held at Kirkby Sports Centre, hoping this would keep people away who would have
been handy if it was in the Kirkby Suite
After attempts to move the venue were refused, Keight said the Sports Centre was in a
convenient place, a year later he told Sports England it was inaccessible for people,
when he tried to get backdoor funding to demolish the baths and swimming pool
More sinister was the attack on the Echo journalist ( Lucy Mc Fall) who discovered
that the council had not consulted with service users, she was ordered out of Kirkby
Sports Centre by Keight's minions when she tried to interview users. This is the Tyranny
that rules Kirkby
Remember next year all Councillors are up for re-election - Free Kirkby from
the Knowsley New Labour nightmare
