News Update on the New Labour Leaders of Knowsley Council.
Background on Keights successor Cllr Ronnie Roundabout, age 66- new blood !
Elected in 1988, placed as Chair of Planning in 1990 and remained in this
post until 2001. Never mind guidelines after the Poulson scandal in the 70s which said 4 yrs
is long enough in this powerful role. Round chaired all the powerful sub committees that
approved the sale of all the Freeholds of the Labour Clubs in Huyton. Neither Round or Keight ever
declared an interest.. They were both officers of the Huyton Labour Party.
Liverpool FC Academy: Sale of the century
Round also pushed through all the major land deals, most notably the
Liverpool FC Academy. This was put together in secret, and leaked to the
Echo on the Friday before a Labour Group meeting, which was attended by
Henshaw, the scheme was bulldozed through despite protests This resulted in the
land not being put out to tender, the Community the net
losers and the other members of the secret deal ( Keight & O Hare) not
declaring an interest at all the different stages, as they should have done
being season ticket holders at Liverpool FC.
We all remember the action taken against Liverpool City Councillors by the
District Auditor over similar behaviour when the club were seeking planning
permission for Anfield. Why are the Knowsley gang immune from any sanctions?
Ronnie Round, Sonae, St kevs and All Saints
Rounds other feats have been dumping Sonae on the town of Kirkby, he would
have been deeply involved in all the preparatory work as planning chair, and
the asset stripping of the last quality green fields in Kirkby at St Kevin's
and All Saints
Councillor Morgan: Deputy leader = more snide deals
The least said about Morgan (another Huyton councillor, now deputy leader)
the better, save to say he is the hatchet man
who has masterminded the impending closure of the Kirkby Sports Centre and
Swimming Pool for Keight, giving another couple of prime frontage sites for
the speculators. This man has no background and you've probably spent longer in the queue in
the town centre post office than this guy has been on the council. Round and
Morgan are nonentites.
The Old Slogan!
The old slogan used to be. - I will kneel at the feet of Cllr Keight,- a wage
a week is all I seek.
My vote is yours forevermore, I shall be on my way there are others at your
door
You know the suspects! Doris & Norman ,Robert and Ted, with Danny the pimp.
