Kirkby Times has reported on the number of people here who drive too fast,
all too often idiots in stolen cars can be seen driving dangerously
but it seems that they have nothing to fear, neither from the Police
here who seemingly have not the resources to tackle stolen cars/motorbikes
for the most part, or the Idiot Judges and Magistrates who hand down Mickey
Mouse sentences to those who are caught.
Kill a 12 yr old child - you get a fine and a 12 months ban from driving.
In April 2001, a van driver, Roy Broomfield of Dover Rd Childwall, knocked
over a 12 yr old girl, Laura Seddon. The cowardly scumbag then drove off, leaving
the girl dying in the road. This happened in Dovecot. On Monday the 16th of June
2003, this gutless lowlife appeared before Huyton magistrates Court. Despite killing
the girl, then driving away from the scene of the crime, Broomfield was fined a
pathetic £2000 with £400 costs. The Idiot Magistrates at Huyton then banned him
from driving for 12 months.
Name and shame the Magistrates
Broomfield should have been given 25 years for his disgusting lack of
regard for human life. He only gave himself up later to the Police having
run away at first. The dead child's mother: Irene Seddon told the local
paper the Liverpool Echo "the sentencing was a kick in the teeth". Indeed
it is. The Magistrates who heard the case should explain to the public just
what the hell they are playing at. This is not Justice and if the magistrates
have not got the guts to speak out or simply refuse to hand down such a pathetic
sentence then they should be subject to exposure. They should be named and shamed.
They should be kicked out of office.
The Law is an Ass
The Law is an Ass. Rob a few thousand quid from your local Bank and
you will see just how the UK Law is actually based on protecting the property
of the rich more than protecting our children from the scum who would leave
them for dead in the road. Only recently we had a car found burnt out in Kirkby
which Police informed us had been used in a Hit and Run - after an appeal in the
Echo - the matter vanished. Had it been a Royal knocked over - the Police would
be crawling all over the place. Doors would be kicked in left right and centre
- heads would roll and backsides would be kicked. A working class kid killed by
a hit and run will NOT receive the same level of investigation. One Law for the
rich, another for the poor.
YOU can make your mind up as to whether the Law is failing us completely.
But the Police are thinking just the same as us on this matter - the average
copper in Kirkby would agree that people who fail to stop after hitting children
with a few ton of metal deserve to spend a long time in Walton nick. Why doesn't
the Chief Constable actually say something on the matter? Has he actually driven
around here to see the stolen cars and motorbikes etc? Apparently not. Does he think
it's a good idea to give a 12 month driving ban for wiping out the life of this child?
For destroying her family? And friends? Would he even venture an opinion which may upset
some of the lunatics running the Judicial System? The system has once again
failed us - the question is - when does the system ever benefit us? When
was the last time we applauded a Judge or Magistrate or Chief Constable for
their successes? The Government gives us statistics now and again but we all
know they are fiddled. Crime IS rising - Justice doesn't get a look in. It
doesn't exist - we know it, the Police know it and were all just kidding
ourselves that it's going to get better. The UK is a sinking ship.
Note: Shortly after writing this article it was reported in
the Liverpool Echo that a 21 yr Old Kirkby man was sent down after
killing an ex solider whilst racing cars. He tried to deny he was in
fact driving and it was revealed that he had a handful of similar
offences. The Echo has not archived the story so far - if anyone
has more details please send them in. Kirkby Times predicted that
this would happen.
