Knowsley Housing Trust and the missing Billboard

kht billboard roughwood woods

On Tuesday June the 10th, a pretty big and ugly looking makeshift billboard (as pictured above) appeared in Roughwood woods - near the wildflowers. The sign, as can be seen above, proclaims that Knowsley Housing Trust are "Working with our partners to deliver lasting improvements to our communities" Really? Check this report for the so called KHT improvements a stones-throw from the Billboard.

improvements? kht? ha ha ha

Did this stupid idea have planning permission?

On Wednesday the 11th the sign mysteriously disappeared. Perhaps the Housing Trust realised that it was a stupid idea, and maybe it's possible that planning permission was needed to actually put up a Billboard. Furthermore - it may well be a danger to motorists who may well have strained to read what this Biilboard said - a lot of people may have thought KHT were planning to sell the woods off, Knowsley Council certainly have there eyes on portions of these woods.

More money wasted

No doubt this sign cost a few pounds to actually make - plus the labour to actually put it up. What a stupid idea. Thanks to Knowsley Housing Trust for yet another waste of time space and money.

The 'partners' mentioned on the Billboard are Cameron Industrial Services Ltd. If they are the firm currentely building walls in Northwood they have an article coming soon - not a good one either!
