Knowsley Housing
Trust recently sent out Tenancy Agreements to various residents in Kirkby. The agreement
is backdated to the 15th July 2002 and is expected to be signed and returned by post,
whilst a copy is included for tenants to keep. Knowsley Housing Trust admit in the
tenancy agreement that the mysterious 'service charges' which have been charged to
tenants for some years now, are actually payments for 'concierge and security'
Kirkby times will be seeking legal advice as to the legitimacy of these payments,
as well as asking whether the Tenancy Agreement is actually being adhered to by
the Housing Trust. The tenancy Agreement clearly states that the Trust must
'maintain the structure and exterior of your home in a reasonable state of
repair' The Trust give approx 6 pages which list the obligations which tenants
must agree to when signing the form. The Housing Trust's own obligations to
Tenants cover one and a half pages. These obligations, few as they are, are NOT being adhered to
as Kirkby times will clearly prove,
Below, concierge and security. A figment of someone's imagination
Knowsley Housing Trust Gallery of Shame
Kirkby Times has, for about 12 months, run an online photo gallery of conditions
in just ONE Tower Block. This gallery has now been updated to include
349 photos of
what can be described as appalling living conditions. Knowsley Housing Trust and
Local Councilors are aware of the rapidly worsening conditions. Nowhere in the
349 photos is there ANY evidence of even the most basic repairs being attended
to. As for a concierge service. Is Knowsley Housing Trust going to actually
back that up with some proof? Same for the alleged 'security'.
There is no
concierge and there are no security patrols. If there is actually a security
firm being paid to secure the Tower Block in question, they are without a doubt,
getting money for nothing. Don't take this websites word for it, check the Gallery
of Shame.

KHT Breaking the Agreements Obligations to Tenants: Section 2
Knowsley Housing Trust have simply abandoned certain Tower Blocks. Knowsley
Councils legacy seems to be continued as residents are left in conditions which NONE
of the Housing Trust Management would live in. Numerous sections of the Agreement are
not being adhered to by the Trust. Under the Trusts Obligations, Section 2, the trust
clearly breaches its own Obligations in sections 2.3.2, 2.3.3, 2.3.5, 2.3.7, 2.5, 2.6,
possibly 2.8, and definitely 2.9. That is
MOST of the Trusts Obligations to certain tenants
NOT being carried out. A Further report will detail each of the sections and what
they mean in simple English.

We all know the problems of our poorest neighbourhoods -decaying housing, unemployment,
street crime and drugs. People, who can, move out. Nightmare neighbours move in."
