George Howarth Accused

george howarth canvasses for votes in northwood, kirkby

George Howarth, the useless New Labour MP for Knowsley North has possibly landed himself in trouble. Howarth was accused of using his position as an MP to help out William Hill Bookmakers which pay Howarth up to £20,000 a year to be an 'advisor'. Its always handy for the big firms like William Hill to have someone on their side in Parliament.

Howarth and his £20,000 wage off William Hill

Howarth Questioned by his mates

Howarth was questioned regarding an amendment he proposed in the April 2003 budget to increase the amount of tax paid on websites which offer online betting. William Hill is losing out as people avoid betting shops and use the more convenient method of gambling online. If the online gambling companies are taxed more, as proposed by Howarth, it will benefit William Hill by millions of pounds. What the hell is an MP doing getting involved in this? It appears Mr Howarth has answered that question as he has now dropped the amendment proposed.

One of the UK's most successful online gambling organisations, Betfair, has accused Howarth of using his time in Parliament to conduct business for William Hill, a company he works for. Howarth denies any wrongdoing, claiming he was' approached by the Association of British Bookmakers, not just William Hill'. Howarth tried to get the budget changed from charging 15% betting tax to charging gamblers on their winnings!

The 'Ghost' MP

It is disgusting that Howarth can find time to do deals for William Hill when the people of Kirkby never see the man. Howarth is like a ghost when it comes to being seen on the streets here. Why is he encouraging gambling, something which has ruined many lives here in Kirkby. Strangely enough, Kirkby Town Centre has plans for another betting shop, and we have a small arcade here as well. This is a sign of the mans greed. If he cannot be happy on the fat wage he gets for being an MP then we must all take a long hard look at what actually drives him.

Voting for dead dogs

George Howarth has done nothing for the people of Kirkby, the local Councilors here who support him are the same people who have backed moves to bring Sonae here, plus sell off every spare bit of land in a series of bargain deals for those who actually get to buy certain land here. Howarth has so far shown himself to be someone who is simply a careerist, he keeps a low profile in his dealings, but Kirkby Times can reveal that Howarth has voted on almost every anti working class proposal Blair and his middle class mafia have put forward. He also stabbed the Hillsborough families in the back along with his mate Jack Straw. Unfortunately there are people in Kirkby who would vote for a dead dog if it wore a red ribbon, thankfully though, these people are becoming less and less as each year passes. Make sure that the only vote you give Howarth is a vote for him to stop his phony socialism from destroying Kirkby. All bets are off for Howarth, the old Labour ruling party in Kirkby is on its way out. Let's hope Howarth gets stabbed in the back himself as he has stabbed us.

Howarth's voting record: Anti Working Class all the way!

Don't take this websites word for it; check the damning facts of how Howarth has voted on various important matters in Parliament. The last important vote was the Iraq War, Howarth was all for destroying Iraq and was one of those MP's who stood up to cheerlead the whole sick episode. We wonder has he invested in any Arms Companies lately?
