Merseyside's lowlife have struck again - this time the hit and driver, accompanied with a woman, knocked over a 3 yr old child Liam Bricknell who was crossing over at the corner of New Chester Road and Bebbington Street in New Ferry on the Wirral. The child crossed over after lights had changed and was holding the hand of his mother when the car hit him. After looking blankly at the childs mother, the driver drove over the little boy again to make good his escape.

After magistrates recently gave a 12 month driving ban and a fine to another hit and run driver who was caught, it seems that the Law itself is becoming a sick joke as more and more hit and run incidents are taking place. This website also features reports on Kirkby's own particular problem and this website has predicted a death by one of the idiots here who think doing 70 in a 20 MPH zone is a good thing. That death has already happened AND we have still heard nothing about the burnt out car found here suspected of being involved in another hit and run. The Car Robbers who race around the streets like they are race tracks are idiots who are gambling with the lives of the community. Let's hope the Liverpool coroner drags them into an autopsy to see the grim reality of death on the road.

All Talk - No Action

The Media, the Police and the Government and the Council are all hiding their heads in the sand. Knowsley Council won't even answer emails concerning matters of road safety - but the local Councillors would be first to cry crocodile tears when someone is killed here. A DI Grisenthwaite of Wirral CID told the Liverpool Echo "This is a very serious incident and clearly callous" - he goes on to add "And what is alarming is the trauma the mother had to go through, seeing her little boy run over and the driver accelerating off. This is totally unacceptable"

'Totally unacceptable' is an understatement - but the Police can never tell us what they really feel, they have to hold back - which is a shame sometimes. This website can say it for them - THIS SCUMBAG WOULD BE BETTER OFF BEING BEATEN TO DEATH BY AN ANGRY MOB OF MUMS. The woman as well who was with him wants throwing in Jail for at least 25 years.
