There was an incident on Saturday/Sunday when youths broke into the Garden of
Remembrance at the Mary Mother of God Church Kennlewood Avenue. The garden of
remembrance is used by local people to bury ashes of their loved ones.
Some months back, the local Priest was given two geese to help secure the
garden from the local scum who would vandalise it. Kirkby Times was
sickened to hear that one of the Geese was stolen and found speared on
railings of Quarry green heights.
Below, Quarry Green Heights where the bird was speared by these sick lowlife.
They deserve to be named and shamed in the community. People like this are potentially dangerous.
They must be caught.
Sick
The people who done this are sick. Geese are very protective of their
mates and it's likely the two geese would have tried to fight off their
attackers. The scumbags who took the bird would have inflicted injuries
to actually take one of the geese, and no doubt they tortured it a little
before they speared it on railings outside Quarry green heights. Geese
actually mourn the loss of there mates, if a bird in a flock lost a mate,
then you would notice it's head lowered and over time you notice that it
will lose its 'status' in the flock. Mostly because the bird becomes
submissive. There are many reports on the internet describing the lives
of these creatures. Hopefully the remaining bird can be given a mate, or
perhaps given to a bird sanctuary.

Anti Community Crime Wave
Fr Kevin who spoke to the congregation this Sunday asked 'how sick could
they get' and despite Kirkby times criticism of the Church, we were disgusted
to hear that this local priest has also had his car wrecked and been threatened
on more than a few occasions. Only recently we had a priest in Westvale tied up
and robbed by lowlife. The Police are losing it BIG TIME here. The local media
don't even bother to report on crime in Kirkby or other less glamorous parts of
Liverpool. The Echo would need to take onboard 100 journalists to keep up with
the crime which is destroying our communities. Our councilors are likely watching
TV or supping a few down the local whilst all this going on. Every Councilor in
Kirkby should be forced to patrol the streets. Maybe if they get abused, threatened
and see there cars in flames, they may just act against the breakdown of our community.
Have your Say.
Kirkby Times will be reporting more on local crime, and the reasons behind
it. Once we launch the Kirkby Times Forums, it will be possible for
anyone local to report on any anti social community crime. This is
a genuine attempt to promote direct democracy and give local people
a platform to publicise anti community crime in the locality. No-one
will listen if you never speak out.
