Kirkby Times has criticised the Councilors here in Kirkby and our recent exposure of the Kirkby Councilors who supported
the St Kevin's proposal is proof that we need drastic changes. The league
table of All Knowsley Councilors earnings and expenses is now online and
can also be downloaded in an excel format so you can print it off and show
people. This chart simply shows which Councilors are doing quite well financially
and is compiled from official figures.

Below, the sort of principles which more than half of Knowsley Councilors believe in!
Jim Keight: Hey Big Spender
Jim Keight is top of the charts for the past 5 years and likely a lot longer!
Jim Keight cashed in to the tune of almost £5000 in travel expenses in the
season 2000/2001 and ate and drank his way through £2,337 worth of Substinance.
In comparison Mark Hagan, a Northwood Councilor hardly got a dozen fish suppers
with a paltry £98.98p. But the King of Substinance with a whopping £5, 042, 81p
was Councilor BM O Hare, part of a husband and wife team of Councilors who
collectively grab the sum of £803 every week for 'serving' the people .Some would call this 'self service'
Eating Like Kings!
Between them, Keight and O'Hare must have been eating like kings. O Hare gets
through more Substinance in a week than the average Councilor in Kirkby gets
in a year. But other Councilors in Kirkby are also getting involved in the
feeding frenzy and topping up the fairly generous basic Councilors allowance
of £7000 per year. N.F Keats got a very tasty £21,930.40p total for 2000/2001
and along with E Grannel and E Parker make up the top earners of the Kirkby
Labour Party's league of leeches. Needless to say, these Councilors with the
big pay packets are the ones directly responsible for the land deals we see
here going through. They are the ones who persistently ignore our wishes
and they should be targeted for their treacherous activities. These people
need to be kicked promptly out of office.
