A ultra loyalist of the old Knowsley dictator Kaiser Keight has vanished
without trace. Huyton Councillor Charlie Preston has done a Lord
Lucan on his chums who rule the council
.
Whilst decent Councillors like Kirkby's John King and Denis Baum
were being suspended for expressing free speech, on planning and the suppression
of information. Preston was enjoying the fruits of Keights's patronage by eagerly
accepting the key positions, and the dosh that came with them. What the Senior
officers of the Council, and Police made of it was an entirely different matter.
Back in 1982 Preston was jailed for five years at Liverpool Crown
Court for assault and burglary. He was one of four men who burst into the
bedroom of a 64 year old man when he was asleep and started punching him.
Sentencing Preston to five years imprisonment,
Judge Davies told Preston " you invade the home of an old age pensioner
when he was lying in bed and assaulted and beat him, he described the
burglary of an occupied dwelling where you assault and beat a pensioner
with intent to rob him is as bad a matter of burglary as I can remember "
It has been reported by the Kirkby Times that ex leader Keight
went on the warpath to destroy those Councillors who fought to save the
St Kevin's playing fields, and protested to new labour about his
leadership, most of these were either bought off, or seen off by
Keight, with new labours blessing.
What about Charlie Preston member for Page Moss? Well until he did a
runner, he was,- wait for it,- Deputy Cabinet member for Youth, Citizenship,
and Community Safety ! Appointed by none other than Keight, who was fully
aware of his background, as the victim of his crime was a relative of a
senior Councillor. This is another example of the depths Keight plunged
to, to keep the Huyton stranglehold on the Council, and the honest
Kirkby members sidelined.
We can only imagine the thoughts of the victims family.
This is only part of the horrors of new labour in Knowsley Council
Over to you Mr ( Clean up ) Blair !
