Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and Tawhid and Jihad
Are Americas former pupils of terror now the teachers and practitioners of terror?
Now that a son of Liverpool, Ken Bigley, has been brutally murdered, the main object of
this article is to look at the facts surrounding Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and Tawhid and Jihad
(Al-Tawhid Wal-Jihad) The man said by all concerned to be behind Kens murder is Abu
Musab al-Zarqawi, the leader of Tawhid and Jihad and associated with the Americans
own apparent former pupils of Global Islamic Jihad. (Holy War) No-one seems to be 100%
clear on Zarqawi or the makeup of the group but this article will do the digging for you
as it were and try to shovel the dirt into a few neat piles so we can see what's going
on. Tawhid and Jihad itself translates in Arabic as Monotheism and Holy Struggle or Holy
War. Monotheism is the strict belief in a singular God or religion or creed. Tawhid and
Jihad are reported by the BBC, Reuters and CNN and SKY and all the major commercial
networks as being led by 'al-Qaeda militant/terrorist' Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. Readers
should be forewarned that parts of this article describe, in detail, the murders of
some of the victims in the recent videos.
Victims
Ken Bigley is now dead and the video of his death was first seen by Tawhid and
Jihads video operative. Then it was previewed and edited by a computer specialist/enthusiast,
practised in basic movie editing. Perhaps some Tawhid and Jihad members previewed there own
performances until a journalist previewed a copy and confirmed to Reuters News Agency that
Ken was murdered. 24hrs later the video was circulated on the internet and by now millions
have seen it. This video has already been reported in another article, and two of Ken Bigleys
work mates, Eugene 'Jack' Armstrong (RIP) and Jack Hensley (RIP) were also murdered and the
murders videoed and uploaded onto the internet and witnessed by millions.
More Victims
Another execution/murder video was released on Oct 11th. An Islamic Web site
offered for viewing the beheading of two hostages on the one video clip. One victim
was an un-named Turkish contractor, and the other an Iraqi Kurdish translator, Luqman
Hussein , who was wearing an identity badge of the Titan security company. A statement
said the two were killed by Ansar al-Sunnah, a merciless bunch who also claimed
responsibility for slaughtering 12 Nepalese workers, again whilst recording it.
(An article on this barbaric act and the Nepalese reaction will go up soon) Ansar
al-Sunnah also viciously decapitated three young Iraqi Kurds, who were members of
the Kurdish Democratic Party, murdered on Aug. 31. Sadly, an Iraqi member or associate
of the Shi'ite al Sadr 'Mahdi Army', Ala al Maliki, is another victim to feature in a cruel
beheading video on the internet.(Oct 12 release date) Again we see Ansar al-Sunnah
almost competing with Tawhid and Jihad to see who can upload the most murder videos
to the internet. So far, Ansar al-Sunnah are ahead in this sick competition for
the Crowned Kings of Inhumanity. Not to be outdone, an offshoot of Tawhid and
Jihad have now announced there arrival with another double beheading murder
video. The Salafist Brigades of Abu Bakr Al-Sidiq are shown beheading there
'own people' as two Iraqis, Fadhel Ibrahim and Firas Imeil, who were
alleged to be Iraqi intelligence officers are murdered. The usual
speech condemning infidels (unbelievers) and praising God/Allah
features before the murders. (Oct 13th release date)
The reality of war has never looked so grim now that we can actually see past
the censorship and at the horror of war as it unfolds. Even as we mourn Ken in Liverpool
and await the discovery and return of his body to his home, Tawhid and Jihad had already
captured another hostage on the 11th of Oct. A video was released showing a captured
Turkish driver named Ramadan. The video features the inevitable masked man reading a
statement out. The masked man announces on video that "we will cut off the head of
this hostage if our demands are not met," and there is little doubt on this threat
being carried out as we now know. The masked announcer further informs us that
"We have long warned them not to enter the land of Islam and land of Jihad, the
land of Iraq".
"Death at the hands of the holy warriors will be the fate of these people, as you will see"
Three days after the promise to "cut off the head of this hostage", a video
appeared on the Ansar al-Sunnah website, and showed another offshoot of Tawhid and Jihad
called the Qaqa Brigades making there first public video appearance murdering the Turkish
driver caught earlier. We see what appears to be a very similar banner to Tawhid and
Jihad's basic yellow or sometimes white circle on a black background with Arabic
writing above the circle at the side and below the circle. They are obviously
using different banners and you'd need to understand Arabic to differentiate
between them all. One of the four armed and masked men informs the viewer
that "Death at the hands of the holy warriors will be the fate of
these people, as you will see" He demonstrates this threat all too clearly
by pulling out a knife and pouncing on this latest victim as he proceeds to
cruelly saw off the captives head. His masked companions hold the victim
down and shout encouragement. The cries of 'Allah Akbar' (God is Great)
punctuate the air yet again. The words uttered by millions as a prayer
of peace, are twisted and perverted into a blasphemous prayer accompanying
the brutal murder of defenceless and bound workers.
Wahhabi Islamic Sect
Killing in the name of Gods
Tawhid and Jihad and Ansar al-Sunnah and other offshoots (Qaqa Brigades, Brigades
of Abu Bakr Al-Sidiq , etc) come from a similar extreme
Wahhabi Saudi based Sunni Muslim
Islamic background. The consensus of the more extreme opinions emanating from this creed
is that cutting the head off a living human being, to use as political leverage,
is fair play and good for Islam. The Saudis themselves have long decapitated people
in the town square as part of the system of 'social justice', although to be fair to
the Arab World, a traditional beheading is over with in a second, unlike the American
Electric Chair, which is a glimpse into the Americans so called 'humanity'. Christianity
broke away into various factions and churches and sides, and so too has Islam
taken this route. The Wahhabi teachings of Islam were funded by Saudi oil for
the last few decades, so the leaders of this sect have been able to establish
schools, mosques and institutions worldwide which favour this more 'radical',
or 'extremist' version of Islamic teaching. Some Muslim children are being
taught from birth to believe in the concepts of Jihad, and the violent generation
we are seeing is in part the manifestation of this educational process. Mecca
is the most Holy City in the Muslim World and this fact alone would always have
meant that many of the Islamic teachings would be heavily influenced from this part
of the world.
Ken Bigley: Botched Rescue or Genuine Escape?
Jack Straws Betrayal of Liverpool continues.
People are asking whether Ken Bigleys alleged escape was some botched MI6/CIA/Special
Forces operation. Some people also ask whether Tawhid and Jihad or other Iraqis have stung
the UK taxpayers for cash dollars or killed Ken as the neighbours were being raided or
bombed. Jack Straw is the man who could give answers, but his record in such honesty
to the public in the past offers little hope in that respect. The British Embassy in
Baghdad was supposedly using a 'go-between' to pass messages between them and Kens
captors or possibly elements of criminal gangs who saw Ken as a fast buck. Jack
Straw was supposedly 'in touch'. He told GMTV (TV show) on
30th Sept that "we don't negotiate" , but later claimed he wanted the
hostage takers to "get in touch". Jack Straw himself was once a protestor who
marched against the Vietnam War yet now chooses to back the Americans.
Straws father, a better man than he, was a conscientious objector in the
war who was jailed for his pacifism. The release of the two Iraqi
women prisoners was blocked by the U.S.A, 'sabotaged by the USA' is a better
description and one used by Kens brother Paul. We are told there
were 'two rescue missions by crack Delta US Special Forces' to try
and find Ken. We keep hearing the term 'crack' US Special Forces, yet they
have been chasing after Osama bin Laden since 2001 and have so far
slaughtered thousands of innocent Afghani civilians in there search
and destroy mission for him. The Independent newspaper reported that
the gang holding Ken 'may have been panicked into the beheading amid
fears that coalition forces were closing in on their secret location'.
Maybe Kens captors heard the helicopters getting too close. It's very
possible the Independents claims are true as the gang who killed Ken did
so hurriedly.
Death In Fallujah
(Oh Dude!)
A video has recently circulated on the internet and is reported to be video taken
from a US helicopter flying somewhere high over Fallujah with its lethal load waiting to
be unleashed, Palestinian style, to the streets below. The video is 678 kb in file size.
(not too big) On the video we hear a USA voice ask .... "I've got numerous individuals on the road,
do you want me to take those out?" Another voice sternly replies .... "Take em out" A
bomb or missile soon flies down from the helicopter and wipes out what could be a
Wedding Party for all we know. An American voice almost laughs out an accompanying
.... "Oh dude" as the bodies are ripped and torn. Whilst most people will view
the video and watch what seems like up to 30 or more 'individuals' being blown up
from a distance, remember that these men or possibly men women and children you
watch being killed, represent a bigger total than those beheaded by Tawhid and Jihad.
Remember that the deaths of those people are every bit as horrific, if not more so than
those beheaded. We think killing or mutilating people from a distance with 'smart' bombs
leaves us on some higher moral ground than people who might behead us and video it.
The Americans video there murders, but not up close and personal so that you can see
the blood. We've watched as bombs with cameras attached blow up what could be the
local school for all we know, these videos are almost seen as 'cool', but its only
because we don't see the blood or a child screaming for hours as her limbs are shredded
to torn flesh. The Americans recently bombed Fallujahs most famous falafel
restaurant and hundreds of civilians have been slaughtered as bombs slam
into cafes, shops, houses and residential streets. With behaviour like this
going on we are encouraging and practically opening up Jihad recruiting offices.
If Liverpool was bombed by America in the manner shown on this video and others,
I would be duty bound to do whatever I could to fight them and so would every

Foreign Office Warning (too late)
Ironically, the British foreign office themselves have now released a warning saying
that British Workers over there are in danger of being targeted and face a 'terrible dilemma'.
This dilemma is simple to understand: stay in Iraq earning up to $1000 tax free a day risking
death, or go home and let the Iraqi workers build there own Country. This latest Government
take on events conveniently gives the Government some sort of get out clause when another
Brit is beheaded or shot. Not long after this announcement on the 13th of Oct, a couple
of days later, a British 'security guard' (mercenary) was shot dead on the 15th of October
in Taza in northern Iraq. The Foreign Office can now say 'we officially warned the workers'.
Despite the fact that twelve British nationals have been killed and several others seriously injured
in Iraq since March, the Leader of the Commons, Peter Hain, has appealed for British workers
to 'carry on the rebuilding of Iraq', saying the 'work has to be done to ensure peace'.
The British Government has also helpfully announced it would freeze any financial assets
held by Tawhid and Jihad in the UK. More horrifyingly, the latest 'bright idea' being
touted around by the British Government is to send UK Troops to Baghdad, under
the command of USA Generals. (16th Oct, BBC, Guardian and others) This would be the third time
British Troops have been to Baghdad, the previous two occasions they were kicked out
and hundreds of British war graves in the area are a grim reminder to what the price is
for invading Iraq.
Did Abu Musab al-Zarqawi murder Eugene Armstrong?
Did he watch Ken Bigley being murdered?
The CIA is stating that they believe with a "high degree of confidence" the actual
killer wielding the knife as Eugene Thompson was murdered, is the al-Qaeda suspect Abu
Musab al-Zarqawi. Reuters inform us that "the CIA said it was Zarqawi who read out the
spine-chilling statement which accompanied the beheading of U.S. hostage Eugene Armstrong
earlier this week." The man who read out the statement in that video is also the
killer. In turn Zarqawi is widely being reported on all the mainstream media as the man
reading out a statement and/or killing Eugene. If this is so then it will be easy to
compare that voice with the voice on another video of a beheading of American Jewish
contractor, Nick Berg (RIP), which states clearly on the actual opening credits that
Abu Musab al-Zarqawi murdered Nick, with his own hands. Some internet reports also
claimed initially that Zarqawi may be the knifeman with regards to Ken Bigley, the
Telegraphs website, amongst others, informed us 'Zarqawi is believed to have handed
down a summary execution order and then watched as the Briton was beheaded'. We could
ask how the mob of masked men who killed Ken actually 'knew' it was Zarqawi.
The media consistently seem to misreport on Zarqawi but neatly advertise him and his
Tawhid and Jihad brand to a worldwide audience. We don't even know his real name.
'Abu Musab al-Zarqawi' is the Arab or Jordanian equivalent of calling someone
'The man from Liverpool.' He's more mysterious than Osama bin Laden, whose
family were flown out of America after Sept 11 with the consent of the US
Government. Both Osama bin Laden and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi are said to part
of the 'al Qaeda terror network'. Al Qaeda are in turn the by product of
Americas 'friendly' Islamic Jihad Terrorists/Freedom Fighters who were
first used to murder Russian soldiers in Afghanistan in the 80's.
You can't call these murders 'executions' by any standards. No trial, no jury, no
right to defend there 'crimes'. They were political kidnappings with a demand and a threat
to kill the hostages and record the murders if the demands were not met. Eugene Armstrong
was killed on the 20th of Sept 2004 at some time in the day. The executioner, said by
mainstream media reports to be Abu Musab al-Zarqawi himself, read out a long statement
lasting some 6 minutes before killing Eugene, threatening, amongst many other things,
to take the life of another hostage in 24 hours if London and Washington 'continued
to ignore demands for the release of Iraqi women prisoners in coalition custody'.
The demand, despite the women being close to being released anyway, was not met.
So, as threatened, a second hostage, the American Jack Hensley, was also beheaded in
a similar manner as his workmate Eugene.
The Murder of Eugene Armstrong
The original video showing the murder of Eugene is just less than 9 minutes long, but a
shorter video just showing the execution was also circulated, presumably so that people using
slow modem connections could see the evidence for themselves. We'll deal with the moral points
of allowing these videos to circulate later, but rest assured my own viewing was done so with
the sole intention of being able to report honestly on what went on. I personally was
alerted to, then saw both videos offered for free viewing/download on several websites
at approx 23.00hrs GMT on the 20/09/04. The video bears many similarities to that of
the Nick Berg videoed killing which is described further below and was also said to
be carried out by Zarqawi, the supposed al Qaeda operative leading Tawhid and Jihad.
The murders of Eugene, Jack and Ken follow the pattern of a previous beheading murder
video by the same group in which Kim Il-Sung (RIP), a South Korean translator was
killed after his Country stuck to its decision to send 3000 soldiers to join some
670 South Korean troops already there in Iraq. Kim was held for some 24 days before
he was beheaded. Like Ken Bigley, there seemed to be hope he might be freed towards
the end. He was a translator over there in Iraq who spoke fluent Arabic, and was
also training to be a Christian Missionary. Perhaps this last fact sealed his fate.
His plea and the pleas of all the hostages are deeply unsettling. These pleas will
live on forever in a digital format on the internet, and also there brutal murders.
In the Eugene Armstrong murder video, professional movie editing software is used to
give it a title and opening credits with added music or Islamic chanting. Tawhid and
Jihads 'brand logo' showing a globe with a Koran and an automatic rifle and a pointing hand
gradually appears as the Islamic chanting continues. A short clip of Eugene's previously
seen and only recorded words are shown in which he says "My name is Eugene Armstrong, Jack.
My job is installing and furnishing camps at Taji base". After the 'intro', we see
five masked men, four of them holding guns, and one armed with only a smallish knife,
(hidden till it's finally pulled out) said to be the notorious Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
All five masked men are standing behind Eugene who is sat on the floor one pace in
front of the men. He is blindfolded and with his hands secured at his back, and
dressed in the orange prison type outfit as first seen in the USA Prison Camp,
Guantanàmo Bay, in Cuba, and familiar in many American prisons in the U.S.A.
The cameraman was facing Eugene whilst filming the scene; this is evident when
the video itself shows the camera zooming in then moving to capture the actual
execution and other details. The camera or video camera (many cameras have
the ability to take video footage) is on a tripod or somehow balanced on some
object serving the same purpose until the actual killing is underway.
Abu Musab al-Zarqawi at work?
There is a black Islamic Tawhid and Jihad banner behind the 5 masked men who are all
wearing black clothing, the banner is hung on the wall of what appears to be a house. The
killers have spread plastic sheeting on the floor, obviously to clear the bloodied evidence
up afterwards, and perhaps a further chilling indicator to Eugene as to the murderous intent
of his captives. After Abu Musab al-Zarqawi (if it is he) approaches the end of his 6
minute or so speech or diatribe read from pieces of A4 paper - he then calmly hands the
papers to the person to his immediate right who considerately takes the time to fold
the papers in half before placing it on the floor. Zarqawi then reaches with his left
hand to calmly slip out his knife from his pocket, almost playfully passing the knife
to the right hand. He then tugs briefly at his mask with his free hand, much in the
manner of a man perhaps loosening his collar before he gets down to some work. He
then steps forward one pace and is still finishing the last words of his speech as
he pushes at Eugenes head. Within one second, Zarqawi immediately starts sawing
though Eugenes neck with the knife as he is pushed to the floor. Whilst he does
so, others momentarily stand around whilst Zarqawi swiftly puts a hand over
Eugene's mouth to stifle his muffled screams. Another man then holds down
Eugenes head after 2 or 3 seconds and the other masked gunmen, out of video
shot, hold his legs and upper body down. The knife is a small knife, chosen
deliberately to shock one audience (us) and to encourage another by
revelling in the killing. The video is goading others to surpass
the cold blooded killings and also inducing the desensitisation
to violence necessary to prepare young men for bloody 'Jihad'. Whilst
the murder is going on, a screen or curtain in the room is blowing in the
breeze and bright sunlight lights up the room. Freedom in this World is
only feet away, yet it could have been a million miles away for all it
mattered to Eugene.
After the brutal murder, his killers display the head like a trophy, it's almost
a glimpse of our own evil past when an executioner would hold the head of a 'traitor' to
the crowds and inform us 'Behold the head of a traitor'. This time we are being
told to look at the head of an 'infidel'. We're seeing the same old ancient bloodlust
in a modern setting. It's like watching the medieval crusades on video. The video,
like all the rest of the Iraq and Chechnya Islamic decapitation videos, is gruesome.
The Murder of Jack Hensley
The Washington Times stated on its website that "After the terrorist finished reading the
statement, he pulled a knife and jumped on the blindfolded man from behind, slit his
throat and cut off his head.". This is incorrect as the killer of Jack Hensley did not
read the speech but merely stood silently, theatrically dressed in black with a big knife
protruding from what looks like a custom made leather sheath. He stands perfectly still,
with his arms slightly folded, until the 3 minute or so of the pre-execution speech was
finished. He then pulls out a very big knife; perhaps a small sword is a more suitable
description, to commit a horrendous, though swift murder. No accusations of that killer
being Zarqawi have emerged so far. Jack was just an ordinary American man struggling
to make ends meet when he took a year-long construction job in Iraq to "get his family
above water," according to his brother Ty Hensley. Before going to Iraq, Jack
had held part-time jobs at a convenience store, a post office and as a substitute teacher.
His murderers, who praised God as they done so, took away a decent family man.
My heart goes out to the Hensley family, as do the hearts of Liverpool people.
May Jack Hensley rest in peace.
We Shall Remember
The only mercy is that the horror is now well over for Eugene Armstrong, Jack Hensley
and now Ken Bigley and all the rest of those who have met this cruel fate. The brief pain they
felt is over. The people of Liverpool will remember them; our prayers and thoughts and the prayers
of all the faiths in our Great City were for all the victims including the Iraqis who also
suffer horribly in this bloody war. Now three workmates who for a while worked and lived
together, and were murdered in the same land together, are reunited. We won't forget them and
when we doubtless have a memorial put in some place of prominence to further show the
strength of our collective grief, there names also shall be there.
Tawhid and Jihad and the 'al Qaeda connection'
Many feel that Tawhid and Jihad discredit the Iraqi resistance and divide ordinary
Iraqis. There supposed mystery leader is not Iraqi. Another aspect of the fall out they
bring is that they ignite anti Iraq/Islamic/Muslim feeling in England, Ireland, Europe
and America, as we hear of and perhaps view the murders. That's helpful for the USA if
it wants the UK and others backing them. It's possible some of the Iraqis have decided
to copycat the tactic as everyone in Iraq has been following these kidnappings and the
effect from Country to Country only proves that this tactic 'works'. It gives the groups
doing it the oxygen of publicity and brings money from supporters plus ransoms. There
is internet in Iraq and all the papers there have carried the news. Young Iraqi men
already angered and possibly psychologically damaged through the untold horrors they
have themselves witnessed, may seek revenge using this tactic of killing workers
captured then videoing the event. Of all the groups operating in Iraq, Tawhid and
Jihad were the first notable one consistently linked with al Qaeda.
Al Qaeda behind Iraqi beheadings?
This 'al Qaeda connection' is a very important point and one which many may not have
thought too much about. Tawhid and Jihad, allegedly connected to al Qaeda have, in effect,
started off the 'fashion' of kidnapping workers, making demands, and upon demands not being met,
killing the hostages by beheading whilst videoing it to circulate Worldwide using the internet.
The first ever videoed hostage murder by decapitation in Iraq was that of Nicholas Berg (RIP)
and many unanswered questions remain on that matter. Whatever has happened, the men who
feature on the murder videos are evil merciless killers. Whether they are genuinely
supporting this tactic or have been duped into murdering or are working to some
darker agenda than we perceive, is the trick question. After all if things are
being run by men who never show there faces, its hard to actually state with any
certainty who you might be working for.
Zarqawi and Ansar al-Islam
Tawhid and Jihads practice run?
Tawhid and Jihad seems to be Zarqawis second and more successful attempt to raise a band
of armed men to kill people in Iraq. The Kurds have themselves small sections that support an
ultra-orthodox Islamic ideology similar to that of Zarqawi and Osama bin Laden. In 2001
Zarqawi was rumoured to be in the area with another group called Jund al-Islam (Soldiers
of Islam). In 2002 he was reported to be involved with a fledgling group called Ansar al
Islam.(Army of Islam) In recent media interviews with captured Ansar al-Islam operatives,
they actually stated to have 'never laid eyes' on Zarqawi. Ansar al-Islam were later to
splinter and eventually Tawhid and Jihad would be allegedly be formed by Zarqawi.
According to U.S. intelligence, Zarqawi travelled to Iraq in early 2002, (others
sources have him there in 2001) and he allegedly began associating with Ansar al-Islam,
who were a poor, down on there luck group of an estimated 600 to 800 Iraqi Kurds whose
stated political goal was to break free from Saddam's Iraq and do so for Islam and
Jihad etc.
Anyone with money, masks and guns could likely raise a mob and call it whatever they want.
The CIA see groups like this as obvious 'friends', they have courted the Kurds due to
the region being an important oil producing region of Iraq. Israel has also been
reported to be trying to broker deals and would deal with the Kurds if they were
able to do so. One wonders if America knew Zarqawi was in the area and felt he
might be of some use. After all, Osama bin Laden was useful in Afghanistan killing
off infidel Russians; maybe Mr Z could work some magic and raise a mob of Kurds to
do the dirty work again as it were. America would have liked Iraqis to have a Civil
war, then they could go in and 'mop up', taking extra care not to bomb the oil terminals
and wells and pipelines. No civil war came, so we went in looking for the weapons of mass
destruction. We found none. Now we've apparently 'found' al Qaeda. America keep
bombing countries to the stone age, murdering thousands of civilians, then point
to us afterwards and tell us 'terrorists and al Qaeda are attacking the USA'.
Now we've got a new variation on the theme, with Zarqawi and Tawhid and Jihad.
The Sun newspaper, One Legged Zarqawi and the CIA's misinformation
Anyone can put a mask on, get a few men to do so also, kill someone whilst
capturing the crime on video, and odds are that someone is going to blame Zarqawi.
America like to tell people about this masked al Qaeda bogeymen now we've got no
'weapons of mass destruction', and even the Daily Telegraph, not noted for its anti
USA stance, recently stated that US Intelligence agents were "paying up to $10,000 a time to
opportunists, criminals and chancers [in Iraq] who passed off fiction and supposition
about Zarqawi as cast-iron fact" It seems that the British Tabloids have swallowed
this fiction off the 'chancers' of Iraq also and passed it onto the readers as fact.
The Sun 'news' paper, ever eager to outdo the rest of the UK press pack in spewing
out the lies, informed us knowingly after the Eugene Armstrong murder that Zarqawi
only 'had one leg'. The CIA also used to believe this but with hindsight it's
not hard to believe that some Iraqi is laughing all the way to the bank with $10,000,
likely telling his mates how the 'stupid Americans' will believe anything.
Good Guys, Bad Guys, Guys you can talk with?
A recent kidnapping of 18 Iraqi National Guards saw Shia leader Muqtada al-Sadr successfully
bargain for there release. He was also behind the freeing of much relieved British journalist
James Brandon from the Sunday Telegraph kidnapped in Aug 2004 and is working to secure releases
on others being held. A Shi'ite group calling itself Abu al-Abbas were behind that kidnapping
of James. Many believe that Shia leader Muqtada al-Sadr at least has more credibility and
trust than Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. Muqtada al-Sadr said, after he managed to free the 18 hostages,
"I condemn this action (kidnapping) despite the assassinations, arrests, raids, and
abductions carried out by the occupation forces against al-Sadr movement and all other
national and political forces that oppose the occupier." The Mahdi Army, al-Sadr's Militia,
is largely made up from and has fair to popular regional support from the unemployed and
working class Iraqi Shi'ites. An estimated 10,000 active fighters are involved but some
claim that up to one million armed Shi'ite men could be out there if push really came
to shove. Given that gun ownership is legal in Iraq, it leaves a grim scenario if
things ever went pear shaped for the Americans.
No Deals With 'Terrorists' (This Week)
Muqtada al-Sadr was condemning the kidnappings whilst the USA were bombing his fighters
and killing there families on a daily basis. An American, General Kimmet, stated that the
Yanks were going to 'go in' to Najaf and Falluja "to kill or capture Muqtada Sadr".
When I heard the news that Ken Bigley had been taken I was hoping he was in an area in which
Muqtada al-Sadr had some sway. On Oct 12th, America was doing deals with the Mahdi Army
and releasing prisoners. Weapons were exchanged for cash at three police stations were
'crisp piles of US dollars waited' according to the Boston.com news website. This
deal was supposed to have gone on for 5 days. A similar deal could have saved Ken Bigley
and Eugene Armstrong and Jack Hensley, but America was not apparently doing deals that
particular week with terrorists. On the 14th Oct, The Mahdi Army and the entire
population of Fallujah were being asked to 'turn over Zarqawi'. The threat is
issued by the puppet stooge 'interim PM' Allawi and it may see hundreds more civilian
residents killed if a promised raid by thousands of American troops goes ahead.
Zarqawi and Tawhid and Jihad are becoming an excuse for pounding residential working
class areas of Baghdad.
The Nicholas Berg Murder

Did the U.S.A authorities leave Nick Berg to die?
Zarqawi, is also widely acknowledged to have been the murderer in the first ever
Iraqi beheading murder video, that of a Jewish American contractor, Nick Berg .(RIP)
Nick had spent time looking for work travelling around Iraq and was arrested on March
24th 2004 at a checkpoint in Mosul. Iraqi officials jailed him reportedly because
of his Jewish surname and the Israeli stamp in his passport. On April 05, 2004, Nick
Bergs parents filed proceedings in a federal court in Philadelphia, contending that
their son was being held illegally by the U.S. military in Iraq. The next day, April
6th, Nick Berg was released and then apparently vanished until his body was found
outside of Baghdad on a highway overpass on Saturday 8th May. Mosuls, police chief,
a Maj Gen Mohammed Khair al-Barhawi, insisted that 'The Iraqi police never arrested
the slain American', and added 'Take it from me ... that such reports are baseless.' On
Monday 11th of May, A video appeared on the website of yet another Islamic group called
Muntada al-Ansar. This video had the title "Sheikh Abu Musab al-Zarqawi slaughters
an American infidel with his own hands and promises Bush more" A confession left
for us, almost like a Hollywood movie terrorist who feels the need to boast and laugh
manically as he commits his crimes. This execution was brutal, but nothing definite
can be seen in the murder segment due to heavy editing. Some contend that Nick may
have been killed beforehand due to this editing in the video, like the Ken Bigley
video. If it was Zarqawi who killed Nick, then it would be easy one would
suspect to compare the voice with that of the Eugene Armstrong murder. The
CIA did state that U.S. intelligence officials have 'concluded
that terrorist leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was the person shown on a
video beheading an American civilian in Iraq, based on an analysis
of the voice on the video'.(CBS /AP) In both murders the person
making the pre murder speech is the actual knifeman.
More worrying claims state that Nick was murdered to divert attention from the then
breaking Abu Ghraib prison torture scandal

This scandal seemed to be held back as the hostage murder dominated Western TV networks and we
chose to publish the least damaging allegations, photos and video of abuses in Abu Ghraib Prison.
Other worrying information surrounds the case as Nick had been held in Iraq with the knowledge of
the Americans, then allegedly passed over to the infiltrated Iraq police before they in turn
left Nick in the streets somewhere. He was left by his own Country on his own in a land
which was very dangerous for Americans and even more so for an American Jew. He then
vanished until his body was found and the video of his apparent murder circulated.
The website which originally broadcast the killing of Nicholas Berg said "Mr Zarqawi
was the man who cut off Berg's head" - and the statement in the video was signed off
with the militant's name.(BBC)
One Legged Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and the gold ring
Abu Musab al-Zarqawi allegedly had a prosthetic leg, or he still has one if you're
a Sun reader. If this was so, then the Medias claim that Nick Berg was beheaded by him
looks blatantly false and literally hundreds of websites immediately pointed out this and
other 'facts' which the media was giving out or simply not reporting on. Had members
of the public not had access to the actual Nick Berg murder video, the media could tell us
what they want, and we'd have no way of disproving a word they told us. The original
media reports on Nicks death bore no relation to the video when ordinary people watched
it and saw things that did not add up, such as Zarqawi wearing a gold ring. This matter
always seems unimportant to us Westerners or English but according to islamweb, a
respected source of Islamic learning material, and other Muslim websites, you'll
soon see that wearing gold rings is a NO for Muslim men who adhere strictly to the
Korans teachings. The following advice is offered on islamweb: 'A Muslim male
should not wear a ring of gold. Allah's Messenger said about gold and silk: "These
are forbidden for the males of my Nation." (Abu Dawud).
Some reported that the killer of Nick Berg did not even have a Jordanian accent.
U.S. intelligence officials had no answers to the gold ring situation but quickly stepped
in and revised the 'false leg' theory, concluding that "he still has both legs." (News and
World Report, 24 May 2004). But the Sun (Scum) newspaper in the UK informed us on Sept
23 2004 that it was the 'one legged Abu Musab al-Zarqawi' who was the person behind many
attacks and killings in Iraq. The video of Nicks murder continues, as all do, to be hosted on
a myriad of websites. The video has been looked at and dissected frame by frame using specialised
software and some investigators immediately spoke out claiming the execution was staged and
the group which allegedly committed it done so to benefit the Americans who at the time were
dealing with the prison torture abuses. Nicks family believe that Nick was the victim of USA
negligence, but have themselves given the brush off to the many conspiracy claims that Nick
was perhaps dead when he was beheaded or even killed with CIA knowledge to divert attention
away from there own crimes.
Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in the UK?
Tawhid and Jihad link to the murder of British special branch officer Stephen Oake?
On January 5 2003, UK police found traces of the deadly poison ricin in a London flat.
No real indication of how much of a 'trace' was 'found' was actually given, but
seven North Africans were subsequently arrested and the matter was highly publicised. There
were six arrests in Bournemouth days later, again connected to ricin. On the 14th of January,
a Father-of-three Stephen Oake (RIP), a 40-year-old plain-clothed special branch officer, was
sent in unarmed and unprotected from any ricin which was supposedly the reason for yet another
raid. PC Oak was stabbed in the chest and died soon afterwards in hospital. That's one decent
copper who done his duty for us all, but inevitably perhaps, his death was needless and the low
key raid should have been performed by the SAS and/or some Chemical Response Team given the
alleged severity of the situation. The immediate area could have been perhaps evacuated,
but our Government chose to keep quiet. The police, who are not always the best people to
fight dedicated terrorists at the very deep end, are being sadly let down by Blair. The
raid targeted three suspects, believed to be of North African origin and linked to the
traces of ricin find in London.
USA has Zarqawi in sights but doesn't fire, twice!
UK sends tanks out to patrol Heathrow Airport
More arrests followed when Finsbury Park Mosque in London was raided on Jan 20th
2003, and some basic weapons, (no firearms) forged passports and ID cards were reportedly
found. On January 22nd, 8 men are charged with offences related to developing or producing
a chemical weapon. These terrorist's were linked by the mainstream media to Zarqawi and
the Americans further helpfully nudged us and knowingly informed us that this in
turn was 'linked to al-Qaeda', who had apparently
'set up a weapons lab at Kirma, in Northern Iraq, producing deadly ricin and cyanide'.
The USA were apparently 'poised to blow it up', but, alas, paperwork and politicking
just got in the way. Like it did with Osama bin Laden and 9/11 etc. The USA had at
least one other reported confirmed chance to simply kill Zarqawi. They failed to do so.
Tony Blairs most notable response to the prevailing atmosphere in Jan 2003, was to send
Tanks to Heathrow Airport, presumably these tanks could have opened up on any anti-aircraft
missile touting individuals popping up to take a pot shot at a Boeing 747. You can almost
picture the deranged Sun headlines of 'Tanks for Peg Leg Zarqawi' The Americans
had apparently 'heard' that Islamists with 'links to al-Qaeda' have
'smuggled portable anti-aircraft missiles into Britain'.
Tawhid and Jihad In Ireland
Irish Garda detectives have supposedly now identified upwards of 'ten al-Zarqawi
activists, primarily based in Dublin'. Zarqawi himself has not been spotted, but has
reportedly 'had an agent in Ireland since 2002'. Detectives told the Sunday Business Post
(an Irish paper) that one militant in Ireland was 'allegedly linked with the ricin poison plot
in England early last year'. Whilst Ireland was printing a passport for Ken Bigley,
apparently members of Tawhid and Jihad were 'fundraising, organising bogus passports and
identity cards, and providing safe houses'. All in Ireland! Tawhid and Jihad are supposedly
indulging in 'Credit card skimming and cheque and welfare fraud'. Are they saying that
Tawhid and Jihad members are signing on? Garda detectives who have reportedly 'seen European
police reports' were reported on the 10th of Oct 2004 as stating that
'al-Zarqawi's group, called al-Tawhid, now represented a bigger threat than Osama bin
Laden's organisation.' The Garda source also claimed that 'Money is also
just brought out in cash on a flight from Dublin Airport'.
A convenient link between Iraq and al Qaeda.
Zarqawis 1999 millennium eve 'celebrations' foiled?
Abu Musab al-Zarqawi has been built up all over the World and then named as the
link between Iraq and al Qaeda. This would be a great face saver if the USA and UK etc
could move from the embarrassing lack of 'weapons of mass destruction' and the 'Illegal War'
situation to just killing al Qaeda, which as readers of this website will or should know,
is the bastard child of a CIA inspired resistance movement to murder Russians by the thousands
in the Afghanistan conflict. In 1990, as the CIA were busy nurturing relationships with people
like Osama bin Laden, and Russian heads were being decapitated by the Mujahideen, we find that
Zarqawi, by all accounts, was also there to fight the Russians. After the 'great victory'
against the 'infidel Russians', the Islamic fighters remembered that the USA
was also an 'infidel nation'. After Zarqawis alleged blood-spilling over in that
conflict, things quieten down till he makes his name in a failed attack on the
Radisson SAS Hotel in Amman, Jordan, during the millennium celebrations in 1999.
This was the first public performance of this apparent mastermind of Global Terror.
Mystery Man
Al-Zarqawi has no family history. We don't even know his real name. He has aliases
like any good terrorist master-mind, these include but may not be limited to
Fadel Nazzal al-Khalayleh, Fadil al-Khalaylah, Ahmad Fadil Al-Khalailah and just plain
old Habib. Maybe some just know him as the man in the mask who gives instructions. He
supposedly comes from an impoverished Palestinian family in Jordan, he is also reported
as once being 'a petty criminal in Jordan', and "a simple, quick-tempered, and barely
literate gangster." (BBC) Others report him as a 'High School dropout'. His parents are
reported as being dead. No word of any brothers or sisters etc. Only ONE photo of him has
so far been extensively used in the media until recently, (another two have recently
appeared) type his name into Google images and you will see this to be so. Mr Zarqawi
spent seven years in prison in his home Country Jordan; he was accused of conspiring to
overthrow the monarchy. His enthusiasm for Islamic Jihad apparently never waned, and
after being released he 'vanished', seemingly leaving the Country. His captors, after
releasing him, apparently discovered he was allegedly plotting attacks on American
and Israeli tourists. He'd slipped the net, not for the first time, so Jordan tried
him again. The dock was empty as the Judge sentenced him to death. Zarqawi has
been a 'dead man walking' for a few years now. Like the elusive Osama bin Laden
he leads a charmed life in as much as he seems to always slip the net.
Despite a $25 Million dollar reward being offered for information leading to his
capture, there have been no takers for this sum.
Lone Wolf
Described by CNN as 'a lone wolf', who apparently 'works independently of al Qaeda',
Zarqawi is rumoured to be in Europe, Iraq, and other Middle East Countries such as Jordan and
Iran. He's the brains behind attacks in Morocco and Turkey. There was talk of him being behind
the Spanish Madrid train bombings, and then he's blamed for suicide bombings of Shi'ite
Muslims in Iraq the same month. His actual speeches have been called 'laughable' and these
have been dissected by experts in linguistics.

Islamic Fascist
This man, a supposed Jordanian, uses a limited Sunni Muslim sympathy or the Saudi Wahhabi
sect of Islam to gain support. An 'Islamic Fascist' would be a fair description. He
allegedly called the Shi'ites "idolaters" in April of 2004 in a recorded message whilst
denying blowing them up. This would not hold the 60% or so of Shi'ite Muslims dear to him
and most concerned Sunni and Shi'ite leaders recognise that Civil War is not in there interests.
We have seen co-operation between the Sunni and Shi'ite which is a great worry for the USA.
It would all so much easier if Shi'ites and Sunnis killed each other, thereby saving America
and England the unsavoury business of doing so or having to justify being there. It's almost
like a bogeyman has been created. I'm not saying I know one way or the other, but all this
'lone wolf' talk, and the fact that he is connected to al Qaeda, means he is
almost some sort of saving grace for the West. Like he is now a reason for us being there
in Iraq.
Zarqawi and Civil War between Sunnis and Shi'ites.
A letter from Zarqawi
We recently had 'evidence' direct from the Pentagon that this bogeyman wanted
to also "ignite a civil war between Sunnis and Shiites". In military and political terms
for the Iraqi resistance and obviously the people, this would be an unmitigated disaster.
US officials released what they said was a 17 page letter by the Jordanian militant handily
outlining a strategy of spectacular suicide attacks on Shiites, aimed at sparking a
Sunni-Shiite civil war. The 17 page letter was found on a CD Rom allegedly seized in a
raid on a safe house in Baghdad on Jan 23 2004. ( New York Times Feb 10 2004.) The
writer was identified by the Pentagon as Zarqawi despite him supposedly being a 'barely
literate gangster' not so long back. The letter has been described as having a
'sophisticated understanding of Arabic', and barely illiterate gangsters don't tend
to pen 17 page letters. A raid reportedly 'netted a prominent courier of the al-Qaeda
terrorist group' named elsewhere as a 22 yr old called Hassan Ghul.
Very handy finding a letter which shows Zarqawi supposedly trying out classic yet
tactically naïve divide and rule tactics. Ask yourself who benefits if the Shi'ites
and Sunnis and Kurds and Christians and Communists in Iraq bomb and kill each other?
The letter states 'Shi'ites are the most evil of mankind.' And also that the Shi'ites
are 'the lurking snake, the crafty and malicious scorpion, the spying enemy,
and the penetrating venom'. The letter hints that 'If we succeed in dragging
them into the arena of sectarian war, it will become possible to awaken the
inattentive Sunnis as they feel imminent danger'. Strangely, the following
lines are offered: 'Perhaps we will decide to go public soon, even if in a gradual
way, so that we can come out into the open. We have been hiding for a long time.
We are seriously preparing media material that will reveal the facts'. Whoever is
behind Tawhid and Jihad has certainly made them come out 'into the open'.
Zarqawi involved in plot to kill "80,000 people with chemical attack"
In early April 2004, Mr Zarqawi was being mentioned by American CCN news as being
involved in the "bombing of an oil facility in Basra", no evidence whatsoever
was supplied to justify this accusation, but the name was given public exposure again.
In late April 2004, the 'public enemy No 1' status of Mr Z went up a few notches with
Jordanian officials now naming Zarqawi as the 'mastermind of a foiled plot to kill
80,000 people with a chemical attack.' He is yet to appear on the FBI's Most
Wanted List (Oct 2004, he may be on it now) despite having a reported $25 Million
price on his head and being Iraq's Osama bin Laden for all intent and purpose.
10 Tawhid and Jihad Videoed Murders
So far, Abu Musab Zarqawi's group of killers in Iraq have now been behind the killings
of a Korean, Kim Sun-Il as well as Nicolas Berg an American Jewish contractor. I have
also witnessed the killings on video of an unknown Turkish driver beheaded. There was
another Turkish worker beheaded named Dumus Kumderreli, this murder video was made public
Sept. 13 but digitally dated Aug. 17. His companion was featured in a 'pre execution video',
and later released. This poor man aged 50 or so seems to pray as the killer reads out the
traditional statement declaring why the sentence is being carried out and then praising Allah
as the knife slices away for 'the cause', whatever this 'cause' may be. Another videoed
murder shows yet another as yet nameless foreign worker in an orange suit being
executed by beheading under the Tawhid and Jihad banner. There is also an execution
by shooting of a Turkish Laundry worker called Murat Yuce, who is shot 3 times in the head
with a pistol as his murderer cries out the inevitable 'Allah Akbar'. There is yet
another beheading video of a Bulgarian worker, as yet nameless to the Western media
though his execution was and is hosted on Tawhid and Jihads website. Now we add to
that list of victims murdered under the ragged Tawhid and Jihad banner, two
Americans: Eugene Armstrong and Jack Hensley and then Ken Bigley. According to
MSC news website Zarqawi is "now blamed for more than 700 terrorist killings in Iraq".
In all the 10 videoed murders I have seen, the banner of Tawhid and Jihad can be seen.
Several individual murderers are seen to carry out the actual brutal act. No-one has
provided definite evidence to prove conclusively that Zarqawi is the killer on any of the
10 videoed murders. I have seen the videos and believe that it is clear to anyone who
can stomach them, that there are perhaps four, five or more killers featured.
What Iraqis and Muslims Think
Trawling the international avenues of the WWW, I found the following commentary on
this matter by a Muslim, these sentiments sum up those being expressed by many and we need
to remember that the USA's Global ambitions and the Wahhabi sect of Islamic extremism is the main cause of the horrific
terror attacks and videoed murders. One Muslim commentator states "America is both creator
and defender in this war on terrorism that exists only because of its greed for global
dominance. While hatred is now raging against Muslims who are being attributed with the
brutal acts the American government is in fact staging, Muslim anger is also growing
as is the number of those who are prepared to stand in legitimate resistance against
an enemy that respects no law, no human life or moral code. Rest assured we will fight
this enemy justly"
Another Iraqi speaks out on a website hosting execution videos (many people post
comments on thousands of internet forums after viewing the videos) and says the
following "I just want to tell you that Iraqis are not responsible about the beheading,
I swear to god I heard all the videos of beheading, they speak different language not
Iraqi! and you all know that Al-Zarqawi is not Iraqi."
If you trawl through 1000 websites, you will find variations on all the facts
mentioned here. Were Zarqawi is mentioned in this article , I am NOT assuming that it is
actually Zarqawi, and neither should you. Even the so called 'experts', the likes of the
BBC and others, seem to assume that America knows who this man is, and who he is working for.
But if you look beneath the surface you will find that nothing really adds up. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi,
whoever he is, should NOT be seen as some representative of the Iraqi people. I cannot
find an Iraqi who seems to support him. There are some Iraqis who certainly will support
him, but I would guess they are so much of a minority that to punish Iraq because of this
murder would be insanity. There are people in Liverpool who have actually killed people
in a manner just as bad as these videoed murders, perhaps a lot worse. Do we then blame
all Liverpool people for being complicit?
Abu Musab al-Zarqawi does NOT want freedom for the Iraqi people; at
best he is simply another battle hardened Islamic fighter who offers his services to any
confrontation which has a Muslim or Islamic interest. At worse, he is some sick creation or
by-product of the CIA and maybe the Americans thought it perfectly reasonable to allow a
real psychopathic killer to go free after he had learnt his trade, with many others, in
Afghanistan. America cared little when these people were beheading and torturing young
Russian soldiers in Afghanistan or later Chechnya. America cared nothing as proxy terror
gangs emerged all over South America, with 'masked death squads' kidnapping and torturing
anyone who stood up to Americans commercial ambitions in the region. The first recorded
internet videos of people being beheaded in the name of Islamic Jihad, began in Chechnya.
The USA's original Islamic fighters have spawned an evil. This evil manifestation
recently murdered Russian school children in the latest stage of there Evil blood
soaked apparent Jihad. There are plenty of willing pupils for these teachers of
butchery. One of these pupils is perhaps the killer who murdered Ken Bigley.
These students of evil were perhaps those who slaughtered the children,
teachers and parents in Beslan. Perhaps they are the same pupils who
allegedly hijacked 4 aeroplanes in the USA on Sept 11 2001.
America has taught its pupils well
America has taught its pupils well. By accident or design the USA has created
Zarqawi and Tawhid and Jihad. Americas former Cowboy actor President, Ronnie Reagan,
once called Russia 'The Empire of Evil', as Russian troops were being slaughtered
by America's proxy Army of Jihad Warriors. Maggie Thatcher agreed wholeheartedly
that Russia was indeed an "evil empire", whilst of course selling arms to Islamic
countries (Saudis, Iran, Iraq, etc) and keeping quiet over these Islamic fighters
who we presumed were 'good' because they were killing 'evil' Russians. Men like Osama
bin Laden and Zarqawi were there and would have found there belief in Holy War being
given a big boost when the Russians finally retreated and the Taliban was born. Also
allegedly there learning the trade of death, were men who would in future send an
armed gang to murder schoolchildren in Beslan. These are the sort of people our own
Government was once happily supporting because it was convenient back in the 80's.
America's undeniable reign of terror around the World can be read in depth
here. Remember that the UK has been the tail being wagged by the USA dog of war.
Thanks for your patience in reading what is the longest article so far published
on Kirkby Times. Though this article was actually being put together long before the murder of
Ken Bigley, much has obviously been added since. No-one wants to report on bad news, but
I feel that the horror of war needs reporting on and that the UK is being led blindly
into a war which will have deadly repercussions for decades to come.
I would never presume to speak for Ken Bigley but I am certain that he would not
have wished for British troops to be possibly dragged into Baghdad and more innocents
killed using his spilt blood as an excuse to spill more.
