The USA has been crying 'foul play' now that some of their soldiers have been captured and shown on Iraqi TV. The United States Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfield reminded Iraq about the Geneva Convention, which deals with treatment of prisoners of war. He said, "It's illegal to do things to POWs that are humiliating to those prisoners." This is hypocrisy on the extreme when you look at the photos of POW's, captured in Afghanistan and held in Guatemala bay in Cuba. 2 of those prisoners were recently killed in custody.

Arabic Al-Jazeera television has also broadcast images of several dead bodies, apparently of US soldiers killed in Iraq along with five prisoners including two wounded, one of them a woman. Mr Rumsfield finally admitted that a small number of US troops are missing and may have been captured by Iraq but said the tape, aired by the Arabic-language Al-Jazeera television network, was nothing but Iraqi propaganda.

Below, another couple of US soldiers are shown to the World. Before the images were shown, the USA denied any soldiers had been captured. Thanks to Al Jazeera, we know different.



"It seems to me that showing a few pictures on the screen, not knowing who they are and being communicated by Al-Jazeera, which is not a perfect instrument of communication, obviously is part of Iraqi propaganda," Rumsfield told CBS television's Face the Nation program.

However, Kirkby Times and likely thousands in Kirkby witnessed pictures aired on all the major UK TV networks which showed Extensive footage of US and UK troops capturing, holding, handcuffing with plastic ties and searching Iraqi POWs. We also saw Iraqi dead. Al Jazeera Television has been ahead of the USA networks and UK TV networks who are censuring scenes of devastation. Kirkby Times has received several emails which alerted us to Al Jazeera and the USA is simply sick that TV cameras are beaming out footage of their massacres of civilians.
