It has been pointed out to Kirkby Times that Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf, the Iraqi Minister of Information, in the days before journalists cosied up to him, was the official who read out the list of executed "brothers" in the purges that followed Saddam's revolution - relatives of prisoners would apparently dose themselves on valium before each Sahaf appearance.

Whilst there has been a bit of comedy on Kirkby Times relating to Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf, it is now removed, as the mothers of Iraqis murdered would not find anything really funny about this man.
