The Children of Falluja and the Shame of the West
The images in this article are of children who have been
killed in Falluja over the past week. Be warned they are very disturbing and if you don't wish to look at them, you would be wise to leave now. The quotes from Tony Blair were reported today
on Sunday 11 April 2004. Blair talks of an 'historic struggle' and a 'battle we have
to fight', but Blair isn't fighting there and nor would he or any of the politicians
fight in the very wars they start. They are the sick cheerleaders of war. It's as well
that we see the reality of this war. Those who support the war have to bear the
responsibility of the consequences. The death of a child by an invading army will
turn the whole town against the invaders. When we look at the photos below of the
children of Falluja, we may perhaps understand why so many of the men there are
determined to fight. If the photos below were of children from Kirkby, we would
fight also.
Britain would not flinch from its "historic struggle" in Iraq, Tony Blair
has insisted.
Below, part of the 'historic struggle' a young child lies dead in Falluja.

He warned that the hope of freedom and religious tolerance would be "snuffed out" if the coalition failed.
Below, what Freedom for this poor child, murdered by the USA in Falluja? Another innocent
life 'snuffed out'.

The weaker the west was the more "they will come after us", Blair added.
Below, "a show of strength", another poor child lies dead in Falluja.

"There is a battle we have to fight, a struggle we have to win and it is happening now in Iraq,"
Blair wrote.
Below, here's the victory Blair is looking for, another poor
young child lies dead in Falluja.

Another Palestine
It seems America want to turn Iraq into another Palestine, a permanently
occupied territory under strict military and economic and social control. Falluja
looked like a scene for the Israel V Palestine conflict, a lot of the resentment
of Arabs is justified as they look to the Wests support of Israel and its appalling
negligence when it comes to the people of Palestine and the Lebanon and now Iraq.

is one of the new kids on the block in Arab broadcasting and has gained a reputation
for covering the war where often western journalists will not venture.
In a week of fighting in Falluja, over 400 people have been killed, including women
and children and young men trying to defend them.
Below, an Aljazeera cameraman tells a colleague by phone of the scenes in Falluja
"There are images we can't show because it's just too gruesome. I have
never seen anything like this before," he says.
"There are bodies everywhere, and people can't go out to retrieve them because
they're too afraid of being blown away themselves.I can't believe
the number of children here, we were at the hospital and it's full of
dead and wounded kids."
The ones that aren't dead have lost limbs and are wailing in pain, begging for
their parents. "What parents?" he screams. "I don't have the heart to tell them
that their parents are in pieces."
"Back at our office the Americans are shooting at us. I walk out of the bathroom
and a laser is pointed at my chest," he says, referring to US sharpshooters in the area."
"We 'd just bought cigarettes from a store across the street; no more than
ten minutes later it was bombed."
Victory to the Iraqi People.
Any Labour Party member in Kirkby who shares Blairs views about this "great
historic battle" is welcome to put the case for war.
R.I.P to the poor kids of Falluja.
