Tower Hill Man Steals 14th Century Church, Army Called In

Kirkby Times is as ever first with the stories the media dare not print. This latest story involves a 54 year old resident of Tower Hill, Kenneth Lightfoot, who took it upon himself to steal the 14th Century Church situated at nearby St Chads. Local Police describe the act as 'theft on a grand scale' The church vanished sometime during the hours of 1am and 7 am on the 13th of November. Police were later alerted by an anonymous tip off that the Church was situated in the back garden of Mr Lightfoot

The incident has led to questions being asked about the wisdom of allowing the Army to be used. At approx 3.00pm on Nov 15th, the Army were seen moving nearby residents out of the area. Kirkby Times photographer was in the area and was lucky to be able to shoot a few snaps before the gun toting squaddies moved in.

Kenneth kept up his siege, calling out by megaphone that 'no-one would move him' Captain Mannering of the Paratroopers told reporters that 'Lightfoot would move when we breached his defences' Locals watched amazed as a tank opened up fire at the Churches Tower, many claim it was unreasonable and that Kenneth had caused no real threat to the community. A neighbour who spoke to Kirkby Times spoke of Kenneth as being 'mad as a fu***** hatter, but harmless. Kenneth was often seen walking the streets with a pick axe and strange clothes, but many thought of him as a local character.

Many who have seen these photo's have pointed out that the third photograph contains an image of what seems to be another of the flying saucer like objects which have been seen here in recent months. Kirkby Times will be publishing more photo's of these craft flying around Kirkby.
